if your gonna run the same size tire all around, run the same rim size IMHO
Think I got a good wheel tire combo here guys... any issues with this and fitiment?
Fronts: Deep dish Bullitt, 18x9, Sumitomo HTRZIII 275/40/18
Rears: Deep Dish Bullitt, 18x10, Sumitomo HTRZIII 275/40/18
Any issues? All this is as quoted on American Muscle's website.
I don't believe the 18 X 9 fronts are deep dish. I may be wrong, but mine are not. Is your car lowered? Because this tire is still ~1" shorter than stock. Which may not be an issue. That's basically the same diameter tire I am running, but I'm lowered so it doesn't have that big gap in the wheel well.
Also, if you are going to run the same tires, why go with different size wheels? If you stick to the same wheel, you can rotate. If it were me, I'd get more meat on the rear.
its not the wheel that is the issue for filling up the well, its the overall tire diameter
a
and i deff wouldn't run a sumi tire .... fwiw i ran a 315/35/17 sumi on my car for a few miles i couldn't get them to hook for crap even while n/a .... this is on the street mind you i never tried them at the track but i'll put it to you this way i went up to a dyno day here local and had them on all the cobra/mach 1 guys came ask me if i had a death wish running those on my car .....bigger is not always better imo if you want to run a better tire on that wheel setup you can do the sumi's up front but run a nitto 555 out back or something simular to it
Interesting. Any other tires for the fronts that you would recommend? If they are as shitty as you say they are for the rear, even at a 315, I don't even want them on the FRONT either.
