I have a very interesting question. I am sure a few people may think this is petty and I am sure I will catch some shit from someone, but I am asking anyway.

There are several people who have some very light NA GT's making some great numbers; very close to 11's. You guys are doing a great job and hope to be there soon too.

However, tonight I want to hear from the heavy cars. ANYONE here with a 4.6L NA GT with no power adders of any kind (no NOS or Meth), at 3800 lbs or more.

I want to hear from everyone and anyone. Not guesses or "I think my car weighs" either. If you have had your car on a scale, know what your car weighs, is 3800 lbs or more (w/driver) and have been under 13 seconds in the 1/4 mile, please post up your weight and ET at that weight.

Thanks,
Spaz

Not under 13secs yet but heres some info for ya.
3,972 lbs w/driver and 1/2 tank of gas
13.7/104mph :(
Its tuff to loose weight and can be expensive so id rather spend my money on more hp.
Got the aluminum driveshaft on now, and drag radials going for a low 13, keeping my fingers crossed, then its comp stage 2 cams spr and hopefuly i can break into the 12s. With my weight im guessin its gonna take at least 350rwhp and a good 60ft to do it.

just friday night, d.a. was 2600+ ...SPECIAL THANKS TO BBR !!!!!!!

2006 AUTO with TCI 3000 stall
3860 with less than 1/4 tank of fuel and driver (140lbs lady)
4.10 gears with 26" m/t et drags
15" jeg stars on 4 corners with skinnies on front
spydershaft
c&l race with sct and BBR TUNE!!
gt-500 throttle body kit
steeda cmdp's
steeda UDP's
pypes offroad x-pipe

12.89 @107.3 mph and 1.87 60' was the best. but it hovers in the low 12.90's and 106-107 all night.

i am going to be working with chris at BBR to fine tune everything. i think there is more to be had with fine tuning.

still to come will be long tubes and a camshaft change of some kind.

Very cool. That is a heavy car to get down the track for sure. The AL DS and DR's will make a major improvement. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Also, just to help you feel better... from what I see first hand at the track, you are still faster than the Challenger SRT8, Charger SRT8, and the Camaro SS. They all weight about the same as your car, have about 125 more HP and they still can't see 12's. Most of them are struggling to see 13's.

thanks... i think it was more about the other shops that really could've cared less after selling you the parts. honestly i would call them back, and they would be friendly untill they realized i was in search of answers and potential advice...the response was almost always to buy another part. not open up the file and try something else.

BBR talked me out of cams for now and suggested something else. so i decided to try it and it worked. this was the first guy who was willing to talk with me, and had a back up plan if it wasnt exactly right.

Yeah my freind/roomate has 07 charger RT. Its decent on the highway i still pull on him, but from a light i murder him he has an auto btw, and he has driven my car and i have driven his and its the same result. It doesnt help that im adding 240lbs. :(
I also put on the steeda lightweight radiator support. Next time im removing the spare tire/jack, the front sway bar. Also considering temporaily removing the passenger and rear seats, and maybe my lightbar. Hopefuly that should drop 100 lbs. Which is better than nothing. I would really love to break into the 12's with the 3.55 gear before i go turbo. Man i want 4.10s bad.

If you have a power seat with the airbag, take it out to drop some major weight. I was thinking about drag seats at 2 lbs each. I weighed mine at 68 lbs each! Taking everything out of the trunk will save you another 50+ lbs too.

I am too broke for the race seats right now, but they are comming...

My car was running 12.4s @114mph weighing 3725.

And trapping 116 running 11.80s at 3650. Not exactly a stripped race car.

Not sure what the question is all about.

Either way, figure 100lbs is good for a 1/10 and 1 mph. your 3800lbs isnt explaining 8mph and 7/10s from my 11s.

Im willing to bet your low MPH is in the launch ir not a problem in the setup. what rpms are you leaving at? Are you bogging? Bog this engine its over shut it down dont waste the run.

hope you get it all worked out. And 3800 is a lot of weight. Get some bogarts, a k member and a arms loss that sway bar, take your spare out of the car. Good luck brother.

12.4's to 11.80's is a common improvement

so, I should go 12.2 to 11.60's, right...

LOL. No you should keep making excuses ignoring success and running 12s.

I have explained the improvement to you about a dozen times.

Its above your paygrade. But for the other people in the room ill explain it better.

the 12.4 was with a worn out clutch 74,000 miles on the clutch and 74,000 miles on the stock original T LOK. Clearly in the video of the 12.40 runs with the 1.97 60s you can see that only one tire is spinning and smoking on the burnout and you can also hear the clutch slipping as i powershift.

The improvement came from a new clutch, a new T LOK. Both tires dig now, i dont think you need to be John Force to understand that is going to make a difference.

Now my 60s are 1.70s 3/10s in the 60ft 6/10s in the 1/4. Funny how that worked out perfect isnt it.

Not to mention im launching at 5k not at 3k with one wheel spinning.

November is creeping up. You got a beatin coming.

only handing out the beating, and waiting for your excuses.. those heads will be off at least once... did you find someone that puts gears in good yet... your running 'take off' b/c of your past lack of success at this medial task.

And, if I go see you then, you can come see me in Houston the following week, so I can show locals the ass beating I gave you the previous week; unless, that is, your paygrade wont allow. :beerdrink:

Dont worry about the rear. Whine, leaking and howling, i can still run faster then you.

LOL.

No i cant come to houston the following week. But you wouldn't want people in texas to see you lossing by 10 car lengths anyway.

...Not sure what the question is all about...

Trying to see where I am compared to the rest of the world. I can't look at the car that only weigh 3200 lbs though.

I think I should be in the 11's too, but my 60' sucks and I keep spinning the DR's in 2nd and 3rd gear shifts. It's got me pretty bummed out too.

So does this mean I can slate you two to run a grudge match after Mark and Vinny? What do you think, 1 shot, winner takes all or best 2 of 3?

I'm gonna like this :popcorneat:
