Hi all

I am about ready to finally order my FRPP/Whipple 550hp IC Kit.
MY CAR IS A 2007 GT 4.6L w/ manual Transmission.

BUT ...I am a bit confused on part #'s and prices.
Someone told me about an awesome deal at North Park Motorsports... 10% OFF 1st internet order.

BUT are these prices on GEN2 kits?? Are there different part #'s for GEN1 and GEN2??

Trying to figure out WHY the part # looks good but the description states 500hp NOT 550hp???

ALSO How the heck can the POLISHED 550HP Kit be cheaper than the black?? The price listed is $6117.99 MINUS 10% would be like $5500 shipped. That sounds unbeleivable!!!!!!!!!!!!

Black 550HP Part # is M-6066-M117 Polished is M-6066-M11P7. Are these the current GEN2 part #'s?????

Here is a link to the price page...

They probably haven't updated the price on it. They also probably didn't update the description. No big deal. Just give them a call and ask if its the Gen2. It'll take all of 1min to ask.

If you want the polished then don't tell them about the price and see if it'll work

Don't know. Not a fan of the Whipples.

Bitch! Haha, just kidding

Do you know something we do not??

I have thought about a whipple.

All of the twinscrew systems out there are good for 90% of us. Just go for the one that suits your needs best at the best value. But for true racing potential, (like you want to run 9s without gutting the car), the KB 2.8H mammoth kit is the way to go in my opinion. All though Jim from JDM just ran a 10.06 @ 136 with the edlebrock, so there is definitely potential there to.

Gen2's are more efficient. Think they put out a few lbs of boost with the same pulley as the Gen1's

Is there a difference in part #'s for the GEN1 & GEN2???

The FMS Part # I was looking at is M-6066-M117 (Blk) M-6066-M11P7 (polished).

I also looked at the Edelbrock....but I seem to consistently see the Whipple 550Hp HO kit putting 495-505 RWHP. The vids I have found on YouTube for the Edelbrok E-Force kit setup are only making 425-460 RWHP Max.

And I am close with the Guys at TASCA Ford Mod Shop (they install the Shelby Super Snake packages) locally who swear by the Whipple and are pros w/ setting them up. So I think I am going to order the Whipple Monday.

Honestly, the gen 1 and 2 are barely different. 1-2 lb of boost difference and the total output is almost the same and that is straight from the mouth of someone at whipple when I called to find out about upgrading mine. I have had zero issues with my whipple other than some belt slip at first, but I threw on an 8 rib kit to take care of that.

Sorry comment was not for you all.....it was in response to the "Don't care for Whipple" comment.

I was just really trying to ask if there was a way to tell a GEN 1 & 2 apart???
THANX
