Been playing guitar since I was 14. Love music, and love making music. Had a chance to go to Berkly , but threw it all away for a full time job to pay for my first stang. A hobby turned a dream job into a "coulda woulda shoulda". Still play though.

I've been playing guitar/synth and singing since 1964. I have a weekend Rock/Classic Rock band. I've had the same personel for over 16 years in it! It is a fun happy lifestyle in my view. LOL

I don't talk it about it at all here but it's a big part of my life. I have spent GIANT amounts of money on PA equipment, guitars, amps, synths, transport vehicles etc.

If I had all the money I have spent on guitars, amps, P.A. systems, monitors, etc......I would be driving a 10 sec daily driver........at least 25k

You know it too! It's a tough addiction too. Just like our cars.

My wife has a good idea though. I pretty much have kept everything I have owned since I started. MOST of what I have has done nothing but gone up and up in value. Now this is a shit economy, so now is not the time. But someday...I'll start selling things off a little at a time to suppliment my retirement income. That sounds a whole lot better than an estate sale!

I sure like what you're doing! That would be a fantastic hobby. I have dropped a fortune in NOS tubes too. Fat boy EL34's and STR415's NOS is a real problem for me. I buy all I can find... Preamps tubes too. I just dropped $630 for a few.... I tell ya, the less one knows the better off sometimes. (I think my wife says that, I stopped listening... HAHA)

PM your email I'd love to see the DIY builds. I would buy too.

I have a very large number of tube amps and just a few SS. My first amp was a 1964 Fender Tremolux piggy-back. I'm into Mesa Boogie, Marshall's & Fenders (these are my fav. 3 makers) Currently gigging with Boogie Mark IIC+ most of the time.

Too bad we weren't neighbors!

Did you get my PM? I can't tell if it transmitted.

i say if you dont have to blow it i can play it lol. i started playing drums when i was 13 and kinda let it go when i picked up guitar, been actively playing guitar for about 10 years i guess, still aint no good but i make do. in the past year or so i have picked up piano, and its nearly taken me over, love having a keyboard and some recording gear, can be a one man band.

most all of my playin is done at church, i'v been doing worship music pretty much since i started. we do a contemperary and modern stuff so its intricate music not like some peep think of as church music. i have had a small little rock band that was the normal story of it coulda been good but members grew apart an made other things more important.

i love music, actually this mustang has pulled me away from it a bit money wise ha been sending all my money to it instead of music stuff. i recently picked up a PRS single cut tho, its awesome i love it. and i am looking into a set of electric drums, i dont have the space to have a full on set and i like how i can draw differnt sounds outa an electric set, but i'v got to get another set its been eating at me for years. i was spoiled with a set of the roland v-drums but i can spend that kinda money on some and no other that i'v seen can live up to them so we'll see what i wind up with.
sorry for the long post i'm bored

Played Baritone and Trumpet in middle school and H.S. Yes I'm a band nerd but I'd do it all over again in a heart beat. Always wanted to learn how to play bass guitar

I'm broker than ever right now, and when I moved a few weeks ago I seriously thought about selling some of the amps, including my ancient Fender head and cabinet. In the end, I just couldn't do it. I still think I have some play time in me if I could find a good rock or blues band...

lots of musicians on here... I am huge into music. Started playing Sax when I was 11 and played up until I was 18. I would still play if I still had my sax. Loved jazz band.

I also played bass in garage bands and jazz band. I picked up guitar and have been doing that for years. I can keep a beat on the drums, but I am not all that great. I can pretty much play anything but the damn flute.

Lately I have been DJ'ing. Not technically an instrument, by U think tables & vinyl and close enough! That is pretty much where most of my time goes when I am not at work. Since I am getting my stang this weekend, I think my tables might become a little jealous.

I spin mostly electronic music. Electro House is my favorite genre, but I do some D&B/Darkstep and some old school House/Techno/Trance. I have spun downtown at a club in Detroit once and at countless house parties and etc... I am not a pro by any means, but I have fun with. Not sure if anyone here is into that type of music... but check out my page if you want. All my newest mixes are available for download if you are into it.
