So who's going to be the tester? If Pypes follow's it's own past, the first sets will be the best.

i have the chinese made OBX longtubes and feel the same way about Pypes. Prior to getting the LTs i got a Pypes O/R X and MM and they fit like shit. i especially had problems with the X...could never get it to seal against the stock manifolds on one side.If the quality of their long tubes is anything like the quality of their midpipes, I'd say avoid those headers at all costs.
Brenspeed. I emailed them and they said they're installing a set next week. Hopefully they'll post a review here.So who's going to be the tester?

Has anybody noticed the pic in the link the OP posted look exactly like kooks headers. If they copied kooks design these headers may fit pretty decent cause my kooks headers have plenty of clearance.
They make low cost, leaky pile of shit midpipes. Their offroad H-pipes come in four pieces, for pete's sake, so you have to weld them together. There are some of us that can't get a good seal on manifolds, period. The fit is just bad, and I doubt they'd ramp up their quality control for headers.
I'm happy to see someone with a brand name making medium-cost long tubes, though. The Kooks and ARH marketing machines have brainwashed the community to think that their 3v headers should be $1200 whereas all other models are a third of the price. All for some bent steel pipes. So any money out of their pockets is fine with me.
To answer your other questions, yes you should get them coated. These things get H-O-T and keeping that heat away from other components is good. Also, you will most definitely need O2 extensions for your rear O2 sensors, since having long tubes moves all of that aft.
Also note: you'll need a midpipe that works with these headers. The Pypes offroah H they sell to idiots like me for stock applications probably won't work with these.
Jay86, thanks for the heads up on your thread(as you know i posted my own on my other forum)..
However my thread barely got any responses on two other forums. I am glad to see everyone here has replied with their opinions and shared their stories.
This has proven to me to stay away from them until we hear more good news.
I guess i will be sticking to MAC LT's with O/R Prochamber. Cheap setup, apparently fits great, nice quality and gives nice power like the kooks. I wanted Kooks, but $1360 for me is steep for exhaust. I am only 20 years old.
I hope that we hear from brenspeed after they install it on their car.
My question about the O/R prochamber would be... can you use your stock cats with it somehow? or perhaps buy high flow cats make the o/r prochamber catted? .... exhaust newbie here, LOL.
It's too bad that companies don't list the dimensions of stuff like this so we can determine if something like this can be done. I can see why they don't due to all the copying going on. The inlet and outlet of the stock cat would likely make it difficult to fit up to the rest of the stock exhaust but there are plenty of aftermarket converters that can likely be spliced into the prochamber.
yah thats what im wondering... i assumed that if i bought high flow aftermarket cat converters that they would fit right up with the prochamber.... im wondering if someone can confirm this... and if so, which exact high flow cats are the ones that fit.
You probably could, but it's likely you are going to be looking at a little bit of fab work. I doubt it would be anything major, but I guess the budget would come into play.
I'd buy the O/R prochamber and have some Pypes high flow cats welded in. I think those are about $70.
A lot of the time the cats will have a slip fit and can be clamped on after you cut the pro-chamber, x-pipe or whatever you splice them in to, that makes alignment very easy and you can then find someone with a welder to weld it together for you.yah im not shy to spend a little extra to weld on some high flows cats... but where are you getting the $70 price for the cats? is that price for each cat? I looked around and found them around the $160-$180 range for both cats.
