What are yalls opinions on running cobra jets on a DD? I am starting to look at suspension components and havent quite decided which direction I want to take the car (drag or corner carver). I would love to do both but realize it is a give and take relationship. However I see how cheap the cobra jet springs are and have seen several benefit from them so I was wondering what everyones opinion is on them as a DD option for the time being until I make up my mind.

Yes and I have followed that thread and I have yet to see where anybody really talks about them being safe for DD use most of the discussion there is whether or not they are v6 springs. In fact I do see a couple posts where people ask but no answers are made. Maybe I missed the post where they talk about DD use...

Anybody else?

I installed the rears only a couple of weeks ago. I had Steeda Ultralites on there before and still have them in the front. The rear end came up about 1.5" but I don't have any drivability issues.

rides like.... not sits like..... so it would be more "floaty and bouncy"

yes I read that part I just didnt feel it was necessary to comment on I'm not concerned about the looks I am more form over function so I joked about it

Scrambler..... any pics?

Nah, I'm on dial up, so I'm lucky I can even post. But I'll tell you what...I went from Nitto 555s 285/40 to 555r 305/45 with the Ultralite's and I couldn't put my hand in the wheel well on top of the tire. Didn't really like the look and had been worried that it would rub one of these days.

After installing the cobra jet rear springs, it raised it about 1.5". I have about a 2" gap between the edge of the wheel wells and the tires. At least the edge of the wheel wells are away from the tires now.

How's the rake of the car now? that was really why I was asking.

Oh, it's raking. LOL...I was just commenting on that to my wife. Figure the front end dropped 1" with the Ultralites and now the rear end is maybe 1/2" lower than stock. It looks pretty good. Sorry for no pics right now, but they take forever to load.

My car with the cobra jet springs. Rides very good, no problems for a daily dirver. I only have the rears in, however.

I had the stock GT springs in, and the CJ springs dropped the car just a little, about a 1/2 inch, once the springs settled.
