So I've been told by Donna. haha. Seriously, we just think that with the holidays in Nov/Dec it would not work well during that period. And we'll let January be a time to regroup a little and make all the plans. So February is looking like the earliest it can be.
Sure, why not. It might be fun to see them get crucified in person, instead on the internet.
hahaha... Not for me. The big party we had last year I was up until after 3:00am trying to drain a keg. No way I was in any shape to race the next day. lolWhat would be really cool is BBQ on one day and racing at Barona the next.
Thanks for the kind words! I can't believe you read 1200+ posts in one sitting.
And moving sucks, but at least we had other guys doing the heavy work. Doing it yourself in 100+ degree heat is the pits. And we're still not completely unpacked. Too many little "projects" are consuming our time.
How about the Don W Hangover Show & Shine. LOLAs for the party, maybe no drag racing, but perhaps if theres a show you could tie into. Party one day, show the next or vice versa. The "S197 Fourum (1st Annual?) Don W SoCal Blow Out & Mustang Show & Shine". Heh.
To be honest, I used charcoal for most of my life, and I still prefer the taste using it. But I switched to propane a few years ago, primarily for convenience, and I've gotten used to it. I may end up getting a separate charcoal/smoker grill to complement the "Man-e-cue", but not anytime soon. As far as calling it a BBQ, that's what they have always been called where I've lived, regardless of whether it is gas or not.just read this from start to finish, all 1224 post, and i did not see a reason for going with a gas grill, why gas? and why are you calling it a bbq when gas is normally used for quick fast hot cooking, and bbq's are normally low and slow?
and on other notes, i love how the house turned out, it looks great so far. I did not like the cherry cabinet, but the stone on top made them work great, also if you have gas at the house for the pit/grill why not a gas stove in the house?
How about the Don W Hangover Show & Shine. LOL

As for the kitchen, my wife has always had electric stoves and she did not want to switch at this point. But a gas line is plumbed in underneath... just in case she ever changes her mind.

wow...I could live on your back patio in a tent and be satisfied.
It's there... right in front of the waterfall. It will have fireglass in it instead of wood, lava rocks or ceramic logs. That is seriously the most coolest BBQ I have EVER seen!!!! I don't know if I missed it, but are you guys putting in a fire pit?
I'd pop for a hammock myself![]()
That turned out wicked Don, what an awesome hang out!
I think Donna wants me to put a hammock out there anyway. hahaI'll be sure to bring my hammock with me for the party................I found my sleeping spot! Don, make sure you mark that down...........haha
20 burgers and 16 dogs... not bad for a maiden voyage! So coooooool!! I am so happy for you guys! And I bet those hot dogs and burgers will taste damn good! I'd come over if I was closer.
Someday...Thats awesome Don. Now all you need it a lift and 42" LCD TV in the garage.

I'm not a big fan of kegerators or mini-fridges. They aren't very efficient out in the direct sunlight. And I prefer my beer ice cold, so I like a good old-fashioned cooler full of real ice.very nice, why no taps setup on the grill? and do you have a small fridge built in to the counter?
