Finaly got a chance to go back to the track friday night. weather was great. the track was pretty cold for some of the big tire cars but the track guys did an awesome job of keeping the track top notch all night. lots of spills and thrills but it went pretty good.
had a great time with my dad too he came and did the video work for me. and i let him make a couple passes in the car, ha he's hooked.
i did not prep the car for the track at all. all i did was toss the slicks in the trunk an ride. i would normaly pull the front sway bar, put my 16 inch wheels up front, pull a lot of interior out, put v6 springs in the rear, and make some adjustments to my d-specs. so i had maybe 2-3 tenths in stuff i could have done in prepping the car. oh well i'm still very impressed with its times and knowing it has much more in it. i'm running a bama race tune that is apperently pretty rich. i've always thought it was rich but it threw some system too rich codes. so i know there is more power in a tune.
the first run i was not ready at all for the lighs but i still cut a 1.8 60ft.
the second run in the vid was set up to be a very very good run. i cut a 1.69 60ft and my 330ft time was nearly a tenth faster than the first run but i missed third. it was my fault for missing it but none the less i still ran a 12.9, that run would have been the fastest of the night.
the last run in the video was my best of the night a best all time.
i still think i could have done better and the car was in complete street trim other than the slicks. so i know i could have shaved off 2-3 tenths just in prep.
here is the video dad put together of my runs...
so here is the in-car video. skip to the 2 min mark for the good stuff.
had a couple more 12 sec passes too. only 13 sec passes the car made this night was my dad's passes.
here is the break downs of the runs.
