Nice, be sure to get some pics, are you going with a wider rear tire or just looking to tuck the wheels up into the fender wall?

Just want to tuck them in... I love the "mini tub" look half inch on each side would be perfect for me. Front's will be tucked aswell with the new rims :thumb:

Yeah....the misery and chaos that comes from them seeing their precious points lead get smashed to hell is intoxicating to me.

Not to get back on topic or anything but...

Matt
Try to get some good details on the C-clip eliminator job. Curious to see if it goes any smoother than the ones Blazing saddles did.

Finally got some time today to work on the car. My old man left for vacation yesterday and im going to have a chaotic week here at the shop starting tomorrow but im going to keep pounding on this thing.

First things first, get the mega bogarts off

DSC02968.jpg

Considering I did like over 100 burnouts last year just doing brake stands the rear pads arn't as bad as I thought they would be..

DSC02969.jpg

Rear caliper taken off bracket and moved aside, along with the caliper brackets and pads..

DSC02970.jpg

Pan hard bar removed at this point, and rear end cover loose draining out the fluid (no matter how many times I smell rear end fluid I always hate it more and more xD)

DSC02971.jpg

DSC02973.jpg

Stock posi, and my well known 4.30 ring gear lol

DSC02972.jpg

C-clips are removed and axle's on the way out

DSC02974.jpg

Gotta love ford with stock 31 splines... :naughty1:

DSC02975.jpg

New strange C-clip eliminater with caliper bracket compared to stock bracket (old bearing still in rear end at the moment)

DSC02976.jpg

The guts

DSC02977.jpg

DSC02978.jpg

Seperated the ring gear from the posi to weigh it :p (and I can sell the stock posi lol)

DSC02979.jpg

Stock posi unit (no cross pin) with bearings 16lbs

DSC02980.jpg

Strange 8.8 spool with hardware (no bearings or pin) 8lbs (roughly 8 lbs of rotating mass gone)

This is how it sit's right now with everything out except the axle bearings. I will be cutting the end of the axles and the axle tubes on tuesday so check back soon
