We can't go outside and beat on it yet :( :damnit: Canada winter weather ahahaha. Hauling the mail all the way to 7,000 is my favourite part.... can't wait to dump the clutch that high and make power on my own car. I keep telling Jim to bring some extra boxer's for the track xD

HAHA yes Jimmys going to need some new boxers:tp:. Im feeling 11s with Jims new setup with the 15s and stick tire.:thumb2:

Nice tuning you guys did with the car Matt! I also like the bigger JLT.

Yea the old K&N that was on there before was fack all compared to this Whale penis of a jlt xD I still have to put my 110mm carbon fiber one on -_- On the dyno between the T body, cold air and intake you can hear it sucking in air around 25-3500 rpms lol

Evidently someone forgot to tell you guys those cams don't make any power. They are only for sound. :roflmao: At least, that's what a bunch of people say. Pretty sure this shows different. Congratulations on the build. Those CAI's are killer, wish I had gotten one of them instead of the 89".

They still made good power with the old combo... we made 350 std at the wheels with the small C&N cold air, stock T body, stock intake, with full bolt ons. Again we wanted to try these to make 400 and they worked out

Thanks Brandon, You helped along the way helping decide on which heads to get, Im glad we went with the livernois heads,

NOW I JUST HAVE TO SAVE SOME CASH FOR SOME EXTRA BOXERS FOR THE TRACK. OR SHOULD I JUST :dead2:

I should be able to get to the track April-May depending on the weather for track times,

Are you kidding? I'd take those thumprs over stage 2 anyday, torque > horsepower when you are already making 400whp.

The thumpers are one of the highest duration/overlap cams available, that isn't good for peak or mid range torque. They are good at not choking the engine at very high rpm (peak hp) at the cost of reduced torque everywhere else, and allowing combustion noises to escape via the exhaust at idle which sell cams.

At points below peak hp the high duration/overlap allows charge air to go right out the exhaust valve, lowering volumetric efficiency. As you can see midrange torque is not great at all at hp doesn't peak till 6500 rpm.

Seems to be quite summer-like in Vancouver. :thud:
Although they are claiming it to be the warmest winter, the only thing that is abnormal is that it hasn't rained as much in the last couple days.
Where I live we are almost always golfing until the last day of November and start up again the first week of February.
The IOC were on crack if they expected there to be snow in Vancouver or even at Cypress for the freestyle skiing and snowboarding. Kinda funny that they are trying to promote a "green" theme all while trucking and helicoptering snow from the interior so that they can place it on Cypress for the events.

That's what I was thinking. I think SPR's or a custom grind would get more HP and TQ in the mid-upper part of the powerband than the thumprs. Regardless, still nice numbers and a flat tq curve. I just think there is more in it with some better cams.

It's 400 hp w/nsr cams N/A. That's a pretty big acheivement. Of course an SPR would yield higher results. It would take quite a screw up tuning it with those to not do better. For what it is, I think this is one of the highest performing engines I've heard of in a while and it seems like a really well thought out build. Who would've known whale penis was the key ingredient. :)

What intake is that? looks like a modified JLT.

We were trying to get 400hp at the wheels on the stock bottom end and it was achieved!!!!! Mod's please don't move :p

Livernois stg2 cnc heads
Jlt 110mm cold air kit
BBK long tubes with catted X
Ac delete
JPC intake manifold
Frpp twin 62mm throttle body
Comp cam mother thumper II's with phasers
SCT Xcal III tuned by Diogo at our shop
Steeda under drive pulleys
Steeda CMPD's
Ford Racing 39 lb injectors

This was STD but minus 10 hp or so for SAE

Pretty sure its the model for the 2010 stangs :thumb:
