Use the original Boss 429 lettering font and make a BOSS 572 or whatever size it ends up being.

Like Cale's car uses the Boss 302 striping but shows BOSS 865 or whatever size that monstrosity is now.

Still haven't decided on the hood. What should I do? Should I continue the Boss 429 theme and go with the CJ scoop from Ford Racing ($450)---or should I go with this cowl hood from VFN?

I say go with the Boss 429 Scoop.... but I'm biased :evillaugh:

Also - I'm pretty sure that the "Ford" CJ hood scoop is made by Cervini's, and is identical to the one I have. Ford just mounted it further down the hood so they didn't have to deal with the windshield squirter relocation. I mounted mine flush with the back of the hood per Cervini's instructions, and fabbed up my own wetarm kit. $450 for a fucking hood scoop is RETARTED! The Cervini's B9 is only $169 & Fit and finish were PERFECT - Just an FYI.

Yeah, I wanted to go with the Boss scoop from day 1, but when I saw the price I could get an entire new hood for that!

Anyway, can you give me the exact measurements of that hood scoop? Length, width, and height?

:hijacked: Did you cut open hood for that? I have a big fucking dent (broken belts) in my hood and was planning on replacing it, but I like this option.

Put together the rear wing today. Spent about 3 hours so it lined up perfectly, as the hinges on the decklid are riveted, so got to get it right the first time.

I am happy with how it turned out, its perfectly level with the decklid, and I have about an 1/8th inch gap from the decklid to the wing, and its even all the way across.

Now I am going to take it off, get the wing painted silver and the strut rods / brackets powdercoated black.

I think that is going to look killer once you have it painted and powder coated.

Got the last of my parts today. The MSD distributor and crank trigger kit, along with the Moroso drag race oil pan, ARP head studs, ATI balancer, etc already came last week, but today I got:

Danny Bee belt drive. This thing is sweet and will allow us to play with the cam timing on the engine dyno.

The roller cam came in finally. We went with a lot larger camshaft as the cubic inches will be close to 600. Check out these cam specs, especially the duration @.050:

Here is the Comp roller camshaft, Crower lifters, and Kaase pushrods. The lobes on this cam are pretty dam big, look at the size of the lobe with a tiny base circle on the camshaft....

Everything is already at the engine shop except for what came in yesterday (pictured above). The heads, block, all the other parts were at the engine shop 2 weeks ago.
