Best 5-10psi Supercharger?

I SUCK at searching, tried several searches and could find no threads like this. But probably missed it. (If so point me in right direction!)

I want to end up with about 450ish rwhp and want to S/C on a stock motor. Its a DD, and don't want to blow the engine, so strongly prefer intercooled ones. No turbos, want low end boost.

That whipple looks great but its not intercooled, and it scares me badly.

Any advice or testimonies is welcome, thanks in Advance.

Almost all blowers are available in non-intercooled and intercooled versions, but smart people always buy intercooled. My whipple is most definitely intercooled.

Honestly, vortech, paxton, whipple, KB all meet your criteria.

procharger definitely makes a solid unit, but you seem to be looking for a positive displacement type blower by mentioning whipple. In that case I really like saleen blowers.

Intercooled Whipples are available and at 450RWHP you'll definitely want one. If low end boost is important, you can forget the centris.

+1. Centrifugals make great top end power, and are as fast (or faster) than postive displacement blowers on the dragstrip, but if you want low end boost the centrifugals will disappoint you unless you do supporting mods to bolster low rpm performance (i.e. steep gears, stall converter, etc., which is the route I went).

That said, the intercooled offerings from Edelbrock, Saleen, Whipple, FRPP, Roush, Techco, etc. are all good units. Nobody makes a bad one and they can all make more power than a stock short block can handle anyway.

there really is no "BEST". everyone is gonna have their own opinions on whats best. Like asking what are the best rims, or what is the best intake. for what you said your wanting

No tubros
low end torque
5-10psi on stock bottom end

you can look at pretty much any twin screw supercharger.

Just research all and pick one based on your budget.

If you want power off idle and a assload of torque and super reliability I suggest the edelbrock e-force, I did a ton of research before I bought mine and for a DD I couldn't find anything better. I have NO regrets and would buy another one without a second thought.

PS I did not get paid for that endorsement. Just a good solid product.

Have a look at the Forced Air Performance superchargers. They're a nice "in between" when comparing low end, and top end performance. They're intercooled, and very reliable. I have this kit on my own car and I really like it.

I've got a hookup there and car really get you a killer price.

Also look at everything each SC kit includes, because most of them do not include the GT500 fuel pumps ( I think only whipple kit does) also the spark plugs and a tune, and obviously must have an intercooler.

Injectors are standard in every SC package at this point.

dont understand your point?

im putting out 442rwhp @ 8 psi on stock pump. duty cycles are fine. i wouldnt go anymore with out a bap or gt500 pumps but at 8psi and 440-450rwhp stock pump is fine.
