call BBR they have great parts i dont like livenois S/B because of their Mahle pistons they are weak. Depend on the boost you can get the CR for more than 15psi get 9.1 for 12psi i think 9.5 is good this is for pump gas... JDM uses 9.7 CR with 17 psi buuutttt they only use VP109 (race gas) before you get or buy anything see what you whant or your goals...

I looked into BBR's longblock and its $8800 which consist of BBR's stage III heads & stage II cams. Brenspeed's 302 stroker is another option but the compression they only offer at the moment is something like 8.7. Maybe I can get SD to build me a 302 stroker w/ better compression, ARP hardware, and upgraded oil pump w/ billet gears...lol

so if put forged internals in my stock 3v @ 9.8:1cr, running a Whipple with 15lbs of boost it will need to run on race gas?

I don't think the Brenspeed B302 CR is that low. My understanding is Brenspeeds B302 is the same as the Saleen H302SC and Saleen Extreme short block and timfoster4005 has this engine and is around 9.5 cr.
If you look at saleens website they promote the B302 by Brenspeed since they droped the short/longblock program.
Saleen's NA version of the short block is 10.4 CR same as the PJ edition car.

I went with the B302.

Another interesting thing......the "SALEEN SPEEDLAB" stickers on the Brenspeed trailer this weekend at Atco.

What's the power level with this kit and a stock crank keeping the rpms around 6500???

Thanks
pt

I would like to know this as well. I'm currently running the Paxton novi 2200sl kit and would like to try for 550-600whp if possible without doing major building of the motor.

I have seen enough on this forum to know that US-1 knows his stuff and I am positive he has more experiance than me! and he will hook you up with the right stuff.
there are alot of people using the stock crank at this power level you will be fine just go with good rods and pistons i prefer Manley Rods, CP, JE or Diamond But I have no experiance with the other brands these are the ones i have visually inspected along with Mahle pistons and Mahle are thinest skirt thickness i have seen i would not use them. the crank is very rarley if ever a item that fails in these engines.
I am spending alot of $ on my project because i blew my engine the stock rods is what failed so i had to have a block and head work both heads got damaged now is there a real advantage to doing things the way I am? I am not convinced that the 302 or 298 strokers make enough differance over stock stroke and any one with the right combo & driving skills can still beat you in a drag race no matter what your dyno numbers may be...

Good to roughly 800 hp. Beyond that you need to rpm the engine more than the stock crank likes. I've done two valve engines with cast cranks up to 844 hp at the tire (twin turbo).

I use Manley, Modmax, or Eagle rods and CP or Manley pistons which will withstand more horsepower than most people can begin to use or make in a real street car.

Just depends on the rest of the combination. Typically, there's less than 5-10 hp difference on a street-style supercharger/turbocharger application. N/A engines.....different story.

So for $1400 I would be able to fix the weak links to sustain 600whp on a paxton 2200SL? This is all new to me coming from imports. Sorry to threadjack I'm just trying to plain my winter mods list:beerchug2: thanks for all the info US-1.
