Mikes first home!!

Here's the entry way after spending some time as a gardener yesterday haha. Previous owner hadn't cleaned or trimmed in what looked like 4 months.

paint should be done in the living room and dining room today. decided to go with a rusty red my girl picked out for the dining area. I'm at work but it looks like a good pick in the pics she sent me. one wall needs a second coat to make it darker like the other wall.

I'll have pics of the master bedroom and other rooms later tonight. paint and house is coming along little by little. got our furniture delivered yesterday and set up the 55" flat screen last night to. today I'm buying a surround sound system to hook up the blue ray player and enjoy a beer on our leather recliners!

no 3D tv. this LCD was actually in a box in storage for a year! bought it when I thought my first house was gonna close.

thanks man. I'll be working on the house after work for the next 30 years haha. I have a lot of plans for the house and have decided I'll use the money I get from my tax returns to remodel one room a year until I can get the house how I want. starting with the living room and kitchen since that's what's seen the most.

thanks man. rest of the kitchen is just finishing getting painted. tomorrow the office and one of the restrooms get painted and after a few days after the paint cures we'll go back and do the borders again with a flat white on the roof to make the lines straighter and cover up any paint that wasn't supposed to go on the ceilings. already started replacing some of the flush mount lights in the hallways and a hanging chandelier that was in the walkway.

i like the red color... we are painting right now too, and I want to paint one of the rooms that color, but the bf isn't a fan of it lol.

I think a lot of girls like the red room idea, and I see it done a lot on shows on HGTV. Its a popular idea

yup. thats where the red room idea came about (HGTV). my girlfriend really liked the idea of having a red dining area and i told her she could paint whatever colors she wanted inside the house. after all she paid for all the paint, supplies, and for her uncle to paint the house. i just told her i got dibs on making the garage how i want and also fixing the outside of the house like i want.

we love HGTV. we pretty much watch it everyday now lol.

thanks chris. i didn't even bother with the painting man. we had my girl pay her uncle to do it and man am i glad we went that route!! he's been painting for a week and he still has to come over today and finish with the finishing touches then wait two weeks before he comes back and does all the borders on the room with a flat white to clean up any paint mistakes.

thats how we were for 3 months before we moved in haha. haven't watched it since we moved in since i have basic cable right now until i can get all the channels i used to have in a month or so in HD.
