Are these results low for my mods?

I have an 06 GT with 45K miles. The following mods were added recently:
BBR stage 3 heads (ported, manley valves& springs)
FRPP Hot Rod Cams
Steeda underdrive pulleys
Shorty equal length headers
Dyno tune
JLT cold air kit

4.10 gears

320 rwhp

The hp seems a little low to me. Car has stock mid-pipe and dynomax mufflers. The dynotune was peformed on a day where the temp was ~100 outside. Car has stock 17's on it. Any suggestions on how to improve the hp number is welcome. I prefer to stay n/a. All work done by a good performance shop.

Thanks,

Yeah seems pretty low...I would think around the 340+rwhp mark, but the cams might not compliment the heads all that well. Might want to dig into a better cam combo to flow match the heads.

Also depends on what kind of dyno it was tuned on - that could give varying results. Also, that 100* ambient temp was certainly not helping at all.

That definitely seems low. I made 321 SAE without pulling the valve covers when I was NA. All I had was Kooks LTs, cmdps, Steeda cai, udps, and a custom tune. I think you should be making at least 340, especially with ported heads. I agree with usafimj, those shorty headers might not be working well with those cams and heads. Also those HR cams need to be tuned correctly to make power. I know several people running them that did not gain any power with them until they were properly tuned.

What kind of dyno? What Octane full are you running? What were you dyno numbers before the heads and cams? Have you been to the track before or after the mods?

Manual or automatic? I hit 320/303 through my automatic with 410 gears, Kooks LT's/Catted H, Hot Rod cams, UD pullies, CMDP deletes, JLT CAI and a BBK TB..even though people argue about it the 410 gears do kill some power on the dyno but on the street/track they show their worth....do you have any before/after track numbers as that will tell you what the improvements were worth.

Those shorty headers aren't helping

+1

I would look at dropping the shorties and head to long tubes. I definitely think you will find the extra horsepower you are looking for and should be be having!! Go with the Hi-Flow cats if those are required where you live!!

I guess I'm the only one that thinks those numbers could normal.

Shorties
stock mid pipe
Super hot weather weather

I mean you are putting down close to 65 RWHP over stock. I bet if it were 60 degrees outside you would see a really nice bump in power. Also who did the dyno tune?

It's a manual. Did not have it dynoed before the mods. Did not go to the track before the mods and have not been afterwards. I was going to give the parts a little time before I beat on it. It runs on 93 octane.

I would like to get long tubes, but I live in the DFW area and have to pass emissions. I read on a forum where the high flow cats just aren't enough to pass the emission test. That's why I chose the shorties.

I'll find out what kind of dyno it was tuned on.

Appreciate the quick replies.

You can pass emissions with high flow cats. I believe bassani, magnaflow, JBA, BBK and a few other's cats have no problems passing emissions. Get long tubes that will help you out.

Also like others said those hot rods with stage 3 heads arent gonna be helping much. Look into a set of cams for ported heads and you will gain a lot more power.
