all of that WOT nonsense..

WOT redline 4-5 shift, and WOT for at least a minute in fifth, essentially stock, hit the speed limiter around 150 (speedo), terrible tires car was a mess at speed, racing a motorcycle.
she was still makin steam, but not much at that point. i've since gone with cams and a few other mods, but haven't had the land or the taunts to push me that high since then.

will be going turbo soon, and certainly will be doing nasty, long, boosted runs in 5th gear so .. i'll let you know if it flies apart or not.
also recently acquired GPS.

i thought that was evident in the "will be going turbo soon" part towards the end? or maybe near the beginning.. something about "essentially stock"

or possibly in my sig i have all my mods that are power related, and none of them includes FI?

i don't know how you jumped to conclusions about being N/A and all, but boy let me tell ya, you hit the nail on that one.

Well with your deductive powers of reasoning, would you assume that the things that were said about sustained WOT for FI cars were applicable to your N/A situation?

i re-read the entire thread and was unable to use my magical reasoning capabilities to determine were someone had mentioned having FI, and wringin the piss out of the thing in 5th for any mentioned length of time so, it's unclear whether the "things that were said about sustained WOT for FI" would apply to my one time, N/A race against a motorcycle.

even your post just says a mph, and an opinion on "pedal left"

When I was at the Texas mile, a guy with a built 3v made specifically for the event was at 194 when he crossed the line. He claimed it had more in it too.

I dont doubt that, cars specifically built... but to get these cars, w/ aerodynamics of a sheet of plywood to over 170mph GPS takes ALOT!

Oh I am sorry I inadvertently left out that I may or may not have been talking about an S197. 176 in an S197 with pedal left would require a monster build usually. Will you guys forgive me?

If you can talk Chad into passsing! LOL

Hey, I knocked down 174 on a stock NA bottom-end, NSR cams, LT's, 4.10 gears, and 27" tall tires. It doesn't take a monster build to do 2 mph more...

Thats a great achievement................now one question would stable and with pedal and rpm left be an accurate way to describe your experience?

Not really. It was floored and hovering at about 6200 rpm when it topped out. The ride was ok while I was in the gas, but like being on marshmellow when I started to slow down until I got down to 145 mph. I had a wing that provides 90 lbs of down force at 130 mph. I can imagine how it would be with a stock wing or no wing.

BUT, that was my experiance. It doesn't discredit you because you had a different experiance. Don't sweat it. We just like messin' with people. LOL
