Are you running Thunderbolt or Lightning? I drove Thunderbolt, but I think I like Lightning better.

Thunderbolt. It's my home track so I run both. Thunderbolt on Friday and Saturday, then again next Saturday.

It's definitely more technical than Lightning. What lap time did you run at lightning?

I don't recall since it was raining that both days and left my TraqMate turned off - we stayed for the first day, then left since it forecast was worse for Sunday. We were surprised to see a few small 'rivers' running across the course - especially in the Octopus section. Many of us were sliding around, which is ok (like running the skid pad), but once we started to hit standing water and hydroplane, it was time to pack it in. This was last year. I plan to run Lightning next year. Have fun!

Yeah, Tbolt is no fun in heavy rain. I was there last month and ran past Z06's in my Spec Miata in hard rain. Dried up in the afternoon and I became road kill.

I wish I could go this weekend. I can't make it because of work.

Open track day at NJMP was 45 minute sessions. Ran 2 strong sessions then part of I/C breaks off and goes through motor. Back in shop.

Damn! That's unfortunate - figure the odds. I hope the damage wasn't too extensive ($$$) and that you get the car back on the road soon.

After some minor repairs to the I/C heat exchanger it's back together. Leak down test showed possible ring issue but we're running it the Saturday an NJMP again.

Already another engine issue

Yeah, the Saleen I/C heat exchanger this time. IMO poor design lead to failure and damaged my 2 day old engine.

This engine dynoed about 80 hp shy of my last motor but pulls harder. The car has amazing grip and I am used to full throttle corner exits. This motor breaks the rear loose very easily so there a lot more throttle modulation required.

What is than Don W says about dynos?

That sucks can you just pull that specific piston out and re ring ? Or will it possibly need machine work?
