Jay i read the whole thread here and i didn't see any mention of this however any chance this is gonna come out in carbon fiber/hydrocarbon. if this is already answered i'm sorry just couldn't see it. thanks man.

I did some spirited driving yesterday about 60 miles,,,so far not a drop of oil..I will check back in a few days

Just put mine on about an hour ago. I'll try to get some miles on it soon and report back. After I got over being nervous about breaking the engine cover, install was easier than a piece of cake. It literally took less than one minute. Thanks JLT!

I got mine on Dec 2 and installed it that same day. Jay, I have to tell you, I wasn't expecting ANY increases in performance or any thing to be noticeable beyond seeing oil in the can, but after about ten miles of driving, the car suddenly had a much crisper and cleaner throttle response. Also, within another few miles, it seems as though WOT hits a bit harder....as if I upped my Octane rating or something. I've only put about 30 miles on the car since installing the can. I have a couple of 200 mile trips to make next week, so I will check back in then. I did no other work on the car than this can and some lowering springs, so for the throttle to change so much for the better can only be attributed to the JLT Oil Separator. A kindergartner could install this, it's that easy. Thanks for a great product! I got the Black can and it's very nice looking in the engine bay. I'll post up a pic when I first empty it.

Had I of known how much crisper my throttle was going to be with just this $119 mod, I would have been even more impatient to get it!!!

Ran the car again today 65miles and did some high rpm pulls,,,Got about a half a teaspoon....Looks like the others who posted pics in this thread....

It only costs 20 dollars to vent both sides to the atmosphere. Just put a 5/8 vacuum cap on the TB side. I haven't noticed any oil under my hood and I'm boosted.

My thought was to restrict the vacuum and leave the PCV connected. No butchering at all, a simple line inside a line would probably do it. The cans are purdy though.

I don't think its caused by excessive vacuum. Its caused from a lot of blowby. Any restriction you put in the line is just going to increase the velocity. The pressure has to go somewhere.

I don't even know that there is a problem (no 5.0) but if that where the case they wouldn't need to apply vacuum to the pcv valve, would they, and you would have a great big mess all over your valve covers, wouldn't you.

Well I know its blow by causing it. I've watched it happen. You can watch the fumes, smoke, ie blow by happen when you crank the engine with the hoses off. As far as not having oil on my valve covers, I'm using stainless crankcase breathers that are blocking the oil from blowing out.
