Davad motorsports is owned and operated by Dave formerly install manager at brenspeed correct?

Yes,I believe you are correct. Not sure what his title was there but Dave Bachota and Dave Liechty are both co-owners at DAVAD Motorsports.
I'm not sure of there past, I've only known of them for about a year. What I do know is they are very professional and do some very nice work.I'm very happy with the work they've done on my car and the products they sell.

Wow! I was seriously thinking of picking those up before you bought them to have as a second set. Hope you get it resolved.

I filed a paypal dispute one time on a guy from another forum but I used my Credit card to pay and my credit card company was going to reimburse me quick.

As long as you did not gift it to him you should get your money back from PayPal but they give the guy a week or so to respond. I had a similar problem with another guy and it took a couple of weeks but got all my money nearly $400 !!!!

Yeah I definitely did it as a "for goods" transaction. Glad i used paypal, and it could've been a lot worse, like your $400. Just pissed because it only takes one jackass to ruin the fun of looking for great deals on parts. I guess every deal is kinda like a roll of the dice as to what kind of character your dealing with on the other end.

I normally do not stick up for shops but I will stick up for brenspeed on this one. My car has minor work done but I bought a SCT II tuner with their custom tunes. I'm in FL so I was thinking it might be a little off with my humidity etc. I've had the tuner since 2007 and still to this day my car dyno's RIGHT ON THE MONEY. Even both of my local tuners here said there is no point in changing it the tune is perfect. I've bought other items from them in the past and had no problems. So for what it's worth a very happy customer here.

This is Brent from Brenspeed, Chandler typically makes posts but sometimes he sends something my way if he thinks I should see it, so here is my reply.
I have always said Forums are “typically” a good place to get and give information but a lot of times (like this one) false facts are thrown around and bad information is pumped out. I have been tuning S197’s since the day SCT had software available. I remember way back when the software was released you couldn’t even data log them because at the time the programmer was an Xcalibrator 1 and you couldn’t even pass through data log. Since then I have put my tunes on an absolutely ridiculous number of 3V cars. Just from 12/1/2010 to 12/31/2010 I put my tunes on 1,531 3V cars (in house and mail order). That’s more 3V cars than some shops ever tune. This doesn’t include revisions for upgrades either so when I read somebody say the tune 100% caused a problem or refer a shop that just bought tuning software a year ago and doesn’t own a dyno and tuned a hand full of cars, if that, gets frustrating.
The car in question has run fine for a year from what I have been told and supposedly all of the sudden had detonation. There are so many variable that can cause that and we are only talking about a car that makes 530 to the wheels here not a 700+ rwhp car. A car that runs a less aggressive tune than our automatic transmission NMRA cars that make a couple hundred passes a season. Did the car get a tank of less than the desired octane? Did some oil work its way up into the inlet or blower which will cause detonation? Etc…. Its hard saying, but to just up and blame a tune that has been on the car for a while sounds a little odd especially one that is not crazy aggressive.
Roy your tune was not so aggressive as you can tell by the dyno numbers to be the cause of your issue. Your 93 tune only runs 16 degrees total timing, and your 110 race fuel tune runs the same timing schedule we run our race car on with 93 octane. This will not cause your car to detonate. Yes we run more aggressive tunes on our cars we race but this is for R&D purposed to see the limits of the engines. Yes we do use the IAT for protection so yes on the dyno if it is not cool numbers do not come out as high as some people want. It’s not that the dyno has a 50HP variance, it’s that fluctuating IAT (which adjusts spark) can cause a big HP variance on blower cars.
I am just stating facts from our side. And I know you are frustrated also just stating what Jim told you. I am not mad at you for this. I do think it’s ridiculous to find this post and never get a phone call from you beforehand so I can explain your tune. I do apologize if you wanted a video of your car and didn’t get it. My tuning schedule does fluctuate sometimes if a car is ready for the dyno or a previous appointment cancels and I am able to get on it I do.

Me too. I got a tune from them that turned out being wrong due to them sending a tune for the wrong size MAF. As soon as I loaded the tune and it was running like shit, I was on the phone with them. We went through mod for mod and discussed. Found out the issue was due to the earliest Steeda CAI being a different size MAF. Needless to say, they modified the tune and had it emailed to me that afternoon.

Sorry you had a tough time with them Kraftsman. Hope everything is copacetic now. As for me, they have always been top notch with customer service.

WarFords is not a good seller. We settled an agreement for me to buy his brand new SCT x3 tuner and told him I'd have the money FOR SURE in 3 days, just waiting for my PayPal to confirm it. He ended up selling it to someone else when we had already agreed. I am very upset about this.

I see where you're coming from.
It is just very upsetting because we already agreed and he KNEW it was paypal and i already had the money.
Also he gave no notification that he was going to sell it because in that case I would've just used a different method if he needed the cash that fast.

Did he say that he would hold it for you until Paypal cleared the money?
