Well, IMO it means you want to stick to a tall tire.3.73s for me... What does that mean?
What brand?I figured out that i want to go with 295/45 18
Those should be nice... 28.3" dia, 11.54" overall width. Nitto recommends a rim width of 9.5" to 11.0", with 10.0" being the width they use for sizing. I'd say that's the width you want... 10".Nitto NT555s
Thanks. I wouldn't want to go any less than 5 inches anyway. I have been thinking about having my front 17x9s narrowed so I could run a "quasi"-skinny on the street. Not as small as a front runner, but something that would appear to be skinny when compared to the rears. I'm getting a little bored and tired of the 255/50-17s up front right now. I haven't really looked at the available tires yet, so I can't say how narrow I'd want to go for sure, but I'm thinking maybe 6-7 inches.Don I don't remember for sure as it was quite a while ago but when I talked to Weldcraft I was told $200 per wheel and they could only narrow them to 5 inches because of the shape of the wheel or something.

John,
Don's - dead on with the specs... I'll just throw this out as an fyi - the tire is gonna look fat on the rear. Something like this....

That might actually be fine... what size/brand tire are you running on that? They could only get mine down to 6.5".

Nice!!Mirada 215/55/17
The pictures are with the M&H 275/50/17's
BTW, if you're ever in the market for a drag radial for the widened wheels, you might look at M/T 305/45R18. It's about 1/2" bigger than the Nittos.Just spoke to James at weldcraftwheels and he quoted me 225 per wheel to widen and theres a 3 week waiting period... and 125 per wheel to get narrowed about to 6
I would agree... the Nitto DR is best for rain (but it's still a DR, so it's not great). But its also probably one of the worst at the track. It's defnitely not in the M&H or M/T league.if you need to drive the car in the rain.... go with the Nitto DR - its much better in the rain then the BFG/MT from all I've read
