Ok, right now I have the stock two piece shaft.

I'll be running 12's when my track re-opens in the Fall w/ the new surface and I just would like to get a frontal loop for safety.

I know the Rule is the Frontal and Rear for the two piece but my track is pretty loose on the rules esp if you dont run slicks, which I dont.

I will evenually be getting a single piece shaft so keep that in mind as well.

I have found a couple different loops and right now I'm leaning towards the Ford Racing one that Steeda sells and also that ford sales.

Would this Loop interfere w/ the stock shifter arm?

i've heard a lot of guys having problems w/ bangin their arm into loops?

I'm trying to find a Loop that will not interfere.

Give me you're advice.

are u using it w/ the stock 5spd shifter?

Have u heard of any problems w/ it banging into the Shifter arm?

I've heard people having problems w/ stock and hurst shifters banging into a couple different loops?

I have the Steeda "Sport" shifter - an older version that modified the stocker. I have no issues that I'm aware of.

I have a BMR loop and Hurst shifter with aluminum driveshaft--no problems.

Added MGW shifter--bangs into loop.

Just bought a Metco loop, will be installing later this week.

so it sounds like a lot of guys here use the CHE.

Anyone else other advice?

Would I be safe using just a single frontal loop for awhile until i get a single piece drive shaft?

How is the install for the CHE, a pain in the ass or what?

I got a CHE if anyone is interested, shoot me a PM. Haven't got a chance to instal it, and double mortgages and double car payments is killing me. I'll get another one later.

Brand new in the box, never been opened.

I use the BMR Tunnel Brace w/loop. Tons of clearance, zero issues, very stout piece and super easy install. (don't over torque the bolts, cough cough)

I use a MGW shifter, but I had the loop on there before I changed the shifter. There is a TON of clearance and I don't see how there would/could be an issue.

It's pretty impossible for someone with this to have the issues your talking about. The picture explains it best. It's not near what your talking about it having problems with and it has a ton of clearance. Super simple install.

Btw, if you do the install, do not bother dropping the transmission (Steps 5 and 10), its not necessary. Simply remove the bolts holding on the deflectors, loosen the clamps on the H-pipe/rear exhaust pipe and slide back, slide in the brace, loose fit the bolts, put the loop over the small part of the DS and slide forward and bolt in to place. Takes no time at all. Watch the torque value. Very solid piece.
