I went to the track today for what was to be the Snap-On Tools challenge but since we had rain all day yesterday and 70% chance of showers today it was postponed and an impromptu class of everything from bikes, snowmobiles, and any type of doorslammer you could imagine was assembled.
There may have been 40 vehicles on hand if we were lucky but we pretty much had free reign to run whenever we wanted.

I pretty much ran 2 runs back to back and let the car cool down for 1/2 hour then ran another 2.

The track prep due to the weather was nowhere near where I would have liked it to be but the DA was between 566' and 860' and there was a 17mph-23mph tailwind.

My goal today was to get a new personal best with my current setup before the new 4.10's, Truetrac, Mosser axles, and Energy Suspension Polyurethane 3rd link axle bushing go in.

Last season my 60' were in the 1.57-1.63 range with a freak 1.52 (missed 2nd).
My best run was an 11.70 and MPH is useless since I have no faith that it's correct at our track.

The only differences from last season was the installation of the Thump_rrr Tensioner at the end of September, the Spec 3+ clutch flywheel 2 weeks ago along with the MSD Launch Master.

Today due to the lack of prep I was launching with the MSD set between 3,000 and 3,500 I would still spin through 1'st and a few times 2nd.

My best run of the day was an 11.486 @ 126.240??? on a 1.817 60' and a 7.476 1/8th

My best run ever was an 11.427 @ 119.92 on a 1.613 and a 7.305 but that was at 10psi with a set of 4.10 gears.

Should I remain on 26" tall tires or should I go to 28" once the 4.10's go in?

Any predictions on what this thing should run if it hooks?

I'd say 28" also, especially if you plan on launching at higher rpms. Also, with 4.10s and a 28" tire, you could run up to 130mph at 6400rpm (in 4th gear). With the 26" tire, 6400rpm is only about 120mph.

As everyone said....28" are needed now. Should be right at 130 mph and if it hooks you should be well into the 10's.
