Been chasing a fuel pressure problem for 2 months , decided to change out the Aeromotive 340s out for Deatschwerks. I ended up ripping out all the wiring and re-wired the car again with 8 gauge wires to each individual pump with 3 fuses and 3 relays. Car holds fuel pressure great now, so I felt comfortable turning the boost up . Made a small hit on the freeway testing tonight , a/f was around 11.9 to 12.1 , will probably add another 3% of fuel up top . Once the converter locks up at the track it should pick up another 1.5 psi's of boost and will need more fuel.
Cant wait to make a pass at the track !

What problems were you have with the Aeromotive 340s? Just picked GIJOE's fuel pumps from him to put in my ride with E85. He also switched to Deatschwerks.

The problem I had was my own doing . When I initially installed them 2 of the pumps I could not get the socks to fit correctly so I removed them . This caused a problem because the pumps overheated . The socks help keep a steady fuel intake without them they airate the fuel because of the turbine style fins. The pumps were in backorder until 5/22 so I didn't want to wait and ordered the Deatschwerks because of all the positive reviews from the import guys.
I have 2 new Walbros that I put in the tank and basically pulled them out 2 weeks later along with one Aeromotive that is also basically new. Ive compared the pumps they basically look the same dont know if the internals are different. Deatschwerks gives you a 3 year waranty and claim they are 100% E85 compatible.
They both flow a ton of fuel so make sure you feed them enough power .
I use to run 2 Walbro's all the the time and the 3rd pump on a hobb switch.
Last night I turned it up to 26.0 with only 2 pumps working , the 3rd pump doesn't turn on , I'll need to check the harness in the tank might not be making a good connection.

Yeah I'am excited to get them installed and start running my car again. Going to make the switch to E85 and turn up the boost on the Kenne Bell.

Dave was telling me about the fuel pump socks, he had to order one offset and use a different sock to get it to clear the others in the hat. So it work out nice for me to know what already works, no real trial and error.

Just was concerned once I seen your post and having problems with the fuel pressure.

Yeah the problem with fuel pressure was more because of an electrical problem ,only one pump on , and then the second comes in later , but its not quick enough to trigger before the pressure starts to drop.
The fuel socks are important I learned the hard way threw away 340.00.
Oh well you live and learn as they say.

Good Luck on the build.
