5.0L swap ?s.

Would it be possible to swap a new 5.0L in place of a 4.6, by routing the fuel injectors and coils to match the firing order of the 5.0L? Also coming up with a way to mount a 4.6 crank trigger on the 5.0L, or am I missing something?

You'd have no way of controlling the cam phasers. Lock all 4 of them out and you may be able to do what you're suggesting. However, you're losing one of the best features of this new engine...The TIVC.

You'd almost be better off going with a stroked 3V, and having the heads ported. If you're on a budget, a 5.0L swap may not be for you.

Lets just say this will be a very different swap, I need to find away to control the trans. Is it possible to have one pcm to control the trans and other to control the engine? Yes, this sounds gay, but I'm not sure what my options are for the tranny.

Anything is possible, it's just a matter of how much wiring, time, and money you're willing to invest.

Meh... If I were to do this swap I'd just buy a 5.0 out of a wrecked 2011+ and then get the control pack from Ford along with the alternator kit.

Me too..........that's the route I'd go with my 3V. The only other option I'd consider at present would be trade the whole car for a GT500.
