Line lock question

Ok I installed line lock last night on my 2005 mustang. My question is this are the front wheels suppose to be completly locked? The reason asking is I clicked it on last night and was moving slow. Now I don't know if I bleed the brakes right or not. Or if its user error and not using it right lol..

But I could use some help

completely locked. rebleed the brakes. if that doesnt work then you may have solenoids that cant handle the pressure or are leaking internally.

ok I have been reading that some are roll line locks and some completly lock. I have the SLP line lock kit do you know what type those are and do i have to bleed the brakes with the car running

No; there is a bolt on the backside of the brakes-8mm I think-that you loosen, have someone in the car push down on the brake pedal, pump the brakes until you have brake fluid squirting out, have the person in the car hold the pedal to the floor, close the bolt and repeat.

No need to have the car running.

Start at the passenger side rear brake, then driver side rear, passenger front and driver side last...make sure you have a new bottle of fluid with you as you will go through a good bit when bleeding the brakes.

ahh no I just engauged the line lock. didn't pump the brakes once or twice first. That maybe the issue with them not locking. I never used line lock before so this is the first time..

Unless you have the brake to the ground when you flip the switch, it wont work right lol

well, the solenoid engaged fine. but there was no pressure in the lines to keep the calipers locked against the rotor.

pump the pedal once then press and hold, flip the switch, release pedal, press pedal (should be hard), report back.......

Funny thing is the OP was right...they tell you how to install it but not how to use it and I learned the hard way as well and had to ask people at the track what I was doing wrong so OP, you are not alone!
