I'm sure I'll look like an idiot but the other night I was working on my mustang and Ii was installing some fog lights on my car. When I was installing them I was probing the fuse box to find a key on power source and then use a fuse tap. When I was done and went to start the car the car would...
I like your idea with the switch to the brakes. it'd probably have to be a switch that cuts power to the brake pedal sensor in order to prevent the computer from sensing the pedal is pressed down. I'll try unplugging the sensor and see if that prevents the car from being able to be shifted.
So I use my 2005 V6 automatic mustang as my pizza delivery car. When I am on my deliveries I don't want to leave the car running with the keys in it for fear of someone stealing my car. on the other hand I don't want to keep starting and stopping my engine every time I go to the door of a house...

For anyone that is curious I had put the 180 degree thermostat in the car and I still had the fans coming on way too often. Partly because I LOVE having AC and almost always have it on. I swapped it to the 170 degree and it is working great for now but when I go back to Chicago for school in the...
I'm sure I'll get crap for asking this but does anyone know what the OEM thermostat temperature is? I tried looking it up but got several different results. My engine just blew it's second thermostat housing. I ordered a metal housing but I also want to drop the engine's temperature. I'm down...
I'll have to check that out I didn't know they had fuel pump issues. I figure its already 15 years old and if nothing at all its preventative maintenance.
Thats where I'm thinking I should go I haven't touched the atf yet and to my knowledge the previous owner didn't do much to the car other...
if i remember correctly it was like P0303 I think. it was a misfire on cyl 3 but that was because it had a bad spark plug which i replaced. the last time i tried to do a pull it moved to cyl 5 but i haven't looked at the plug yet.
Hi guys new to the forum. So I picked up a 05 mustang 4.0 auto trans with 88k miles on the clock for a good deal. but after a few months of owning I'm starting to have issues. With the drive train. I was doing an 800 mile road trip and all was fine until at one point I started to hear the timing...
