    Seat of pants it was def worth it, but i also have bbr stage 2 cams. Def would recommend the headers as well as the percy split lock header bolts.

    I just installed jba's (lt's) and the h pipe (off road) with flowmaster's and it still sounds very raspy, i am going to put stock mufflers back on, from what i have researched they seem to sound the best with that setup.

    I have a offroad h and it sounds good, i had a offroad x and it was terrible very raspy like you are explaining. I think the long tubes will make the tone deeper, it's worth a shot.

    I "thought" it should be disconnected (the side i was working on) so it would not move the chain.

    Yes i had to change the springs as well. Which is a big headache with that wonderful tool ford designed.

    Well my guess would be when you are filling the cylinder with air it can move a little bit even with it in gear and some one holding the crank pulley.

    Correct and thank you for the help !! As far as how it got off time i used the wedge tool and it is still possible for it to slip a tooth on the lower gear with that tool. If i were doing cams i would take the timing cover off. It's an extra step but well worth it.

    Ok update time we are running great !!! Removed the timing cover reset the cam timing and off we go !!!! Just wanted to thank everybody for the help. Also would like to give BBR props for the excellent service and tech support, John, Matt, and Chris. They were very patient.

    Well for an update i pulled the timing cover off have number 1 cylinder on tdc and from what i can tell it looks like it is off. I am going to reset the timing hopefully tonight, we will see.
