So I got 2k layin around and was thinking about getting cams. Any advice or recommendations? I want power and am not concerned with the sound. Car is 05 GT Auto with JLT II intake, full exhaust, and 4:10s.

Won't be doing delete plates and UDP's because I will be getting a buddies KB when he upgrades this winter. I will have enough to do the driveshaft along with the cams though, thanks for the reminder.

Buy a used blower. I got mine for $1900 shipped.

^^well now that is certainly an alternate idea! ^^

If you are wanting to go cams, I have heard nothing but good about BBR's setup.

I agree with this! I'm willing to bet you can get a decent set up for that much. You'll have to dish out a little more for some extras, and supporting mods but it would be well worth it.

If your looking at stage II cams you should look at torque convertors also. A lot of these guys fail to mention that because they drive sticks. To fully utilize the power band of stage II cams you need a little help with the auto trannies to get you in there. Also think about where you want to feel the power. Get the right cams for your intended application. The biggest, baddest cams won't help you out if you never hit those higher RPM's. I went with stage I's because I wanted to gain improvements in the middle of the RPM range because that is where I do most of my driving and I wanted more of a SOTP improvement instead of just feeling it kick in at 5 grand.

Probably not good to spend the money now then. Blower installs and the inevitable supporting mods usually drive the price up.

When I get the KB the deal was worked out to have it installed also so I wont be in need of cash set aside for the blower. I have thought about getting a converter but I wont know exactly what stall I'll be needing before the cams and blower correct? And as far as the power goes the more the better as a forged bottom end will be in the future as well. So will these BBR stage II's go well with the blower?

Depends on how much power the blower makes. If I had to do everything over, I would build my bottom end first then do the blower, so that is how I would do it if I were you, IMO.

You should trade me your buddies 2.8 for my 2.4 + cash :D

I chose to go with the supercharger first, then build the engine. If I didn't like the supercharger and decided to go back to NA, I didn't want to be stuck with a low compression engine.
