    Detonation problems

I would datalog to see what your timing actually is, as well as, to see if the knock sensors are pulling timing, also spark source and fuel source. Might want to check the gap on the plugs, it could be just misfiring instead of actual detonation.

Yes I did. Let me see if I can find the link he gave me. Here it is... http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/tech_support/spark_plugs/p4.asp?mode=nml "When using an ethanol blend fuel with high ethanol content in high performance applications, a colder heat range may be necessary. The spark timing can...

    E85 and Plugs...

Heat range does not effect the electrical energy transferred through the plug, however the heat range does thermal performance of the plug. Ultimately you want self cleaning of the plug but sometimes you have carbon deposits (too cold) and sometimes overheating (too hot). Too hot, in my opinion...

    turbo......fear the gear?

Can you post your datalogs? What were you 60ft times? I like the setup of tr6060, 3.55 and 28" tires, although I'm on bias-plys. I'm launching at 5500 on two-step at 16psi and pulling high 1.3's-low 1.4's. After I get a full cage I'll break into the 9's. I think you just need more seat time...

    blow thru vs draw thru???

Sorry I'm a little green on the 2011+ but good to know that the new processors have the ability of 2 IAT sensors (non-gt500). I was implying more about the centrifugal superchargers rather than positive displacement as pd blowers are always draw through and don't run a large about of...

    blow thru vs draw thru???

I'm for blow through as the IAT sensor is built into the MAF and on boosted applications you always want to read what air intake temps are after the blower when possible (same reason why whipple and other pd blowers make you relocate the IAT sensor. With blow-through the MAF sensor is not 4-5...

Aluminum Block v. Iron Block w/ Power Adder....Ready....Fight!

I agree but there's has got to be a reason why a few local machine shops told me (including ford racing) that the aluminum block cylinders can not be resleeved on our blocks as it would significantly decrease the integrity of the block and if it was cast iron there wouldn't be a problem. This...
