I bought done Alcantara material and had a local upholstery shop replace mine. They lightly sanded the old foam to remove the glue and cut and installed the material for $140. My car sits outside and the material looks new after 8 years! Still holding, not coming loose.

I looked at a GT500 today at a dealer and was wondering if there is any way to find and contact previous owner. Dealer wouldn't or couldn't help.

I would think the cam overlap is playing a big part in letting the nasties through. I've never known anyone to pass a Sniffer test with cams that have alot of overlap. Maybe a tuner could offer up some help.

Well, the GT 500 arms have the same bad ball joints as the GT. There has been a TSB out. For a long time to replace the whole arm with a revised ball joint but it is rediculously expensive. If BMR uses the old b.j., you will haVe the same problem, so find out before purchasing. The only upgraded...

There is a built in reverse lockout,to engage reverse you must come from left of neutral. You don't need to put it in a gear, just pull it to neutral, then reverse.

Thinking of using the GT 500 struts/shocks with Steeda lowering springs. Where can I find specs for valving for the 500,kyb,steeda,etc... struts and shocks? I know the 500's are stiffer and 8 have them laying around.Am I going the right direction or should they valved softer for lowered cars? Thx

Have you considered using steedas x5 ball joints? The gt 500arms have a tsb for ball joints just like the gt. Probably the wheels causing the vibration as you suspect.

While it is out bend the seam up along the entire length with a hammer and punch. There is a bigger pothole out there you haven't found yet.
