06 gt convertible driver window not going up

my driver side window is not working right. it goes up a little and down all the way. cqn i override it some how to get it to close

To troubleshoot I'd remove the passenger side window switch and plug it in on the driver's side. If it works the driver's side switch is the problem. You can likely get a used one on feebay for not too much... To get it out you have to pull the door cover. Should only take a few minutes each side if you have the right tools. You'll need a Phillips and Star head screwdrivers.

To get to the switch itself you don't need to pull the whole door cover. Just pop the trim the switch sits in.
As for your issue have you tried the window reset procedure or the hard rest procedure?

Whats the hard reset

Hard rest can be done with 1 person but easier with two. With the hood open and fuse box cover off. Locate the window fuse. How open the driver door. Roll the windows up all the way. Then hit the window down button and run to the fuse and remove the window fuse. Put it back in and test. Window should be back to normal.

Sounds like the door jam switch is gone if the hard reset or swapping window switches doesn't fix it, had the same symptoms as mine a while back. The window either wouldnt pop down the 1" when exiting the car or closing the door or else stuck half way on the way up.

Thats the right side, the cheaper side from ford. The left one must be the one that gives the bother so its over twice the price LOL
