Here's one for the pro's out there, I need a little help to interpet my timeslip...first time to the track this year, made four runs, and on my final run my slip says 1.281 60 ft time?!? Holy crap!! I figure this has to be wrong, it's got to be a timing error. So what do you guys think? My setup is:

3.73 gears
Detroit tru trac
Saleen watts link
M&H 325/45/17 17 psi warm
Eibach springs
Tokico shocks (adjusted 3 on left/2 on the right)
MSD Launch master set at 2800 rpm

Saleen supercharger 3.4 pulley, JDM tune w/new extreme inlet

I say timing error because cars that 60' that fast are in the 9's. Also, because your 330' time should be alot quicker with that 60' time. Cars that 60' in the mid 1.4X's usually have a 330' time around 4.2X. Yours is 4/10ths behind at 4.60.

Here's a wild ass possibility. With a RT that slow, and a 60' that quick, its possible that you somehow didn't trigger the stage beam with your front tires, but did with the rears. And then the fronts triggered the 60' beam.

Something similar happened to my wife last year. First, she rolled through both stage beams. So she was asking the starter what to do (back up and restage, or just stay there?). He gestured to her to just stay there, but when the tree came down, her amber lights never flashed. The car in the other lane left, and she was confused. The starter just motioned for her to go. Since her front tires were already out of the beams, the rear tires tripped the starting beam. The timeslip showed a 60’ time of 1.136.

Yep, I think your on to something there Don....Great Lakes Dragaway doesn't exactly have the latest and greatest equipment! As far as the r/t goes, I was working on my launches and playing with the MSD launch master, experimenting with what rpm to launch at, so I wasn't going for Reaction Times or racing anybody. On a side note, that MSD is pretty cool!! I'm only at 2800 rpm, still working my way up to see where the traction goes away. I made four launches, last reliable? 60 was 1.7. I'll keep playing with it and we'll see where I end up.

Thanks for the input psfracer, your car is my "track setup guide" if you will. I figured since your best 60 was 1.4 something with the M&H's mine HAD to be off. youv'e got a sweet car that hauls ass!!
