It was two hundred and something. They come with an air bag in the rear 'kit' and don't come without the airbag so you just have to pay for the airbag too and toss it.

After reading all the input here ,I talked with Tommy Godfrey of JPC, in depth on this topic .Tommy assures me that since I will be running the BMR anti roll bar , I would be wasting my time and money on the Eibach drag springs . Burcham runs the Eibach lowering springs and has 60' as low as 1.28 . I would go with these springs but because of my turbo kit , the car would just be to low in my opinion . Tommy believes my car with our planned set up will be just fine . Unfortunately I am more confused than when I started this thread .

I think a little fact you need to consider is Justin's car is damn near gutted. He also does not have a lot of extra weight in the rear. If you follow this, then maybe it will work for you as well.

In my case, especially with my fuel cell and resevoir in the trunk, I have to have the rear dialed in. On the GT500 springs, I thought i was launching just fine, but just take a look at my avatar to see how fast I was 'bouncing back'.

I cut great 60's, but I believe these drag springs are going to allow me to be even better...:beerchug2:

Aaaahhhh yes......the old "anti roll bar cures everything" theology. An anti-roll bar controls leveling of the car during launch. Read the next sentence carefully:

THE ANTI-ROLL BAR DOES NOT CONTROL REAR SPRING COIL RATE.

The anti-roll bar doesn't give a shit what spring is in the car. I've seen cars with anti-roll bars that still have tire hop because their rear spring is too stiff. In fact, most people can get away with a lighter rear spring once they install an anti-roll bar. I've got an idea what will happen when you go to the test session and the car won't leave. They will tell you to leave on lower boost and ramp it in harder going downtrack.

If you insist on listening to them that's fine. I understand completely because they are helping you with the setup. However, from my experience, Tommy is off base with that idea. At a bare minimum, I would have a set of the rear drag springs in the trailer just in case. If it won't leave then swap them out and see what happens. After all, that's what TESTING is all about.

Does anyone know what the spring rates of the Eibach Drag and GT500 springs are?

Mark, what are you going to do with the GT500 springs? Any chance I could "borrow" them to test on my car?

They are in the classifieds. If they don't sell within a week, you can certainly borrow them...:beerchug2:

You know....if there was someone who liked their current rear springs and just wanted the drag fronts you could always sell them. Probably a less than 400 hp setup would work with the fronts and just about any rear spring. Especially an auto car.
