I don't think there's any problems with running them with the correct offset, but you probably won't find many (if any) members on here running higher than 18". This board's pretty performance oriented.

Razors

I have 20" razors on mine with no issues. They are not great at the track with my 60' times in the 1.9-2.0 range. I still am able to punch out low 12's.

Essentially a GT500 splitter with a lot of fit work. I did the same on mine. Takes a lot to get it to look right at which point be prepared to scrape a bit if you are lowered.

Even with stiffer shocks, springs, etc. With a 1" drop I would scrape a little if I braked very hard or was going down hill then braked.

I took it off last winter to avoid the snow plow syndrome but I plan to reinstall it one of these days.

Thanks for the props! The front splitter is the Gt500 factory from ford. It does take some modification. Here is a good page to help you with that.... http://www.allfordmustangs.com/foru...4800-gt500-lip-installation-2007-mustang.html

As for my tire sizes 255 /35 /20 on 8.5" rim up front and 295/ 30 /20 on 10" rim out back. I will be getting and trying out the 20" Drag Radials when the car gets back on the street!

20" rims with the eibach Pro kit and no clearance issues what-so-ever. without the lowering kit, it rides like a 4X4. with shocks+ lowering springs, it rides like it has 18s. Never ever scraped, and I took that thing to the point with racing on a road race track and ended up with blue brakes. i tihnk the pro kit lowered it something like 1.5" all around.

I agree, part of the reason why I found this site! I ditched my stock 18's, and went to 17's!!!

I'm surprised as many came forward. Didn't realize we had that many people running 20's on here.

Personally, not only for performance reasons, but looks wise, I just can't get into 20's. It's just too much wheel for me. I need to see more rubber on a Mustang. I guess that's why I have 28" tires out back. :)

That's what makes us all different. Just like you may or may not like Chicken some might love it. Just like you may only like Budweiser others may like Corona.

Just like some of us like to Race the cars others prefer to Show them. Some like Ducktails, some like the factory spoiler.

Different strokes for different folks. I am not afraid to show i run 20's and could care less what anyone thinks about it. If you do not like them that is your choice just like it is mine to run them and like them. But if you do not like them sometimes it is best to say nothing at all than to bag someones choices.

I get so sick and tired of the So Called "Mustang Purists" bagging on those of us that choose something other than what they like for our cars.

That is one of the great things about these mustangs, the endless personalizing that can be done. You can have a mach one clone, boss clone, sleeper, eleanor clone, hell you can even be an America hating (wannabe cop)terrorist with lamborghini doors. Endless possibilities.

I never bagged on anyone for running 20's. But it's a fact that this board is the most performance oriented of any S197 board, and the majority of members here run 18" or lower. That's what I was getting at.
