Looking to replace upper door speakers in 2013 w/shaker (not pro) and no nav. Seems i should stick with 2 ohm. surprised crutchfield only recommends 5-1/4 4 ohm speakers. other sites offer 5x7 and 6x8 as some mention in the forums.

Looking for recommendations on 2ohm speakers to pair with factory HU, and confirmation of size that can fit and adaptors.

I am NOT a fancy audiophile, but last year replaced the speakers in my work truck (2008 F450). I am not into upgrading the stereo system or adding amps or boom boxes, I just wanted speakers good enough to turn up the volume and still hear the music. The stock speakers sucked. I bought a set of Pioneer speakers off Amazon and have been very happy. Better bass than most.

For a Mustang I would probably get better speakers than these.

Replacing stock speakers with aftermarket speakers has 100 roads to failure and 5 roads to success. Even then....not a huge improvement. Even adding an amplifier to your stock speakers can sound better than adding aftermarket speakers to your stock system. The issue is POWER, or lack there of. Here is a video that might help....but many others on Youtube.
