So, folks, cars get old and metal doesn't last!

(Also apologize for my bad English, I am original from the French side of Canada! lol)

So started noticing a crease on my car floor mat caused by the bottom tip of my foot when my resting my foot on the gas pedal
The only thing in my head I know would cause that is sagging metal.

So pulled up the carpet and only to found the entire floor pan has rotted through
There is actually a few holes in certain spots closer to the clutch pedal.

Was wondering if anyone has ever replaced their floor pan and where can I get the piece?

Thank you,

Thank you,

Think ill cut and weld and por15 the entire bottom...
1500 USD seems a bit out of my cost of repair XD

Might want to explore what caused the rot/rust in the first place. Obviously, water getting in and remaining on the floor pan to start the process.
Check the cowl fresh air plenum drain flappers to ensure water isn't built up there and coming into the driver compartment.
Check the window seals and door opening seals behind the hard trim to ensure the soft trim seals are all good.
Check the windshield to ensure no issues there that would allow water to enter the driver compartment.

Check your local junkyards for wrecked mustangs have them cut out the floor pan sections you need and weld those in place, I would also check the rest of the floor boards for rot as well.

Not even 15 years old yet. Damn, that is unusual.

Well his avatar says he's in Ontario so winters can be brutal in Canada with all the salt that's laid down for ice and snow. Not really surprised it's having rust issues. It's probably rusting from both sides of the floor, meaning not only is the salt doing a number on the underside of the floor but also any snow and ice that's on his shoes is also melting and rusting the floor out from the inside of the car as well.

Shan, I heard there is a 05-09 v6 at a scrap yard in Hamilton. I bet you could cut out whatever patch panels you need from it.

You could seek local auto body shop, or classic car restoration place to have them weld in a new pan...probably both. Sux, but good luck.

I hope this helps someone !
My drivers side floor pan had rotted through , but the rest of the car was surface rust , it’s lucky I pulled the carpet up when I did, I got wire drill brushes for a fiver and got the car to bare metal (apart from the drivers footwell , and then used rust preventive paint , cut the rot out the drivers footwell and used self tapping metal sheet screws along with an ungodly amount of windscreen adhesive, more rust paint , then sound deadening pads , jobs a gooden , gonna get under the car next week to put under seal on the new metal sheet ! Spent 110 quid on it all together!
18 gauge metal sheet -£20
Rust prevent paint - £10
M3 windscreen adhesive£10
Metal sheet self tappers £10
Sound deadening pads £30
Under carpet wool £20
Carpet adhesive spray £10
Rust hole repaired with no welding , I hope it lasts !
