2006 Mustang GT - Front Struts/Springs

Monroe used to the standard replacement for shocks and then struts. Unfortunately they have not kept the quality and performance level they once were known for… I had Monroe Formula GP on the rear of my 88’ LX 5.0 and my brother had them F/R on his 85’ 442. Wish we had kept these cars…

If that’s all you can afford or readily get, then install them and enjoy but there are so many other options available for the S197.

KYB quick struts and shocks all the way. If their good enough for Toyota/Lexus... They preserve the stock height and driving characteristics. They should last you a long time. While your down there replace every bushing attached to the all the sway bars.

I've never had problems with them either.... I was just inquiring in a couple other brands because I feel the sportier cars require a little bit sportier suspension and I wasn't sure on some of the brands that are out there. I see their names a lot but that could just be advertisement. I was more looking for Real World Experience pros and cons

I also bought the Monroe’s for a temp shock and they were OK, especially for the money. Tended to be on softer side, but was just fine for a daily.

Once I switched to Koni’s, definitely more sport oriented and consistent - less floaty.
