Car is there but before I brought it my intake with the sct maf fell off the bench and broke. It is just the plastic clip but it effected the readings. I ordered a new one and having it shipped to them. Will see some numbers hopefully tomorrow or Thursday.

Great guys and an awesome shop.

Thanks. Going out to the tuner tomorrow to see what's going on.
Still looking for a decent cage, probably just grab the maximum motorsports one for the time being. Or wait till they throw me out of the track.

No rush at all. I have the gt500 to play with so I can get my fix.

I didn't need a new shortblock. But knew I had to have one with the boost levels I am gonna throw at it. It was actually cheaper to buy the block than have my stocker built. Also gave me a piece of mind knowing it came from Ford.

Hope to have some more info tomorrow.

Looking forward to see what kind of numbers it makes! I don't think I've seen anyone else put that much boost to an aluminator. I'm curious as to what you'll find as far as a cage goes. I may look into getting one as well.

I am wondering the same thing. Should be fine, if not, get to build it all over again and go bigger.

Update!!

Only issue is that in 2nd gear, the mgw shift linkage hits the driveshaft weight just barely. Not a big deal, just have to turn it in 1 or 2 turns, or grind off the offending piece of metal.

Was with the tuner today, Car ran great, he was just setting up Air/fuel and fuel before he makes any power changes.
I have some nasty belt slip and it is only getting to 15-16# of boost. Not a full run was made due to the belt. Tomorrow a new smaller belt is going on to help with the slip.

It is looking good so far. The numbers today were great for just setting up a/f and fuel.

586/570@ 15.8#'s @5300

Going to get better!!!!

Update!!

After my mishap with a broken/melted plug, I had to replace the head and one piston. After all the parts were here, I reassembled the motor and dropped it in.

Its back running without any problems at all, I did not drive it, just let it idle to make sure everything was solid. I am waiting on the datalogs from the tuner and have them read for me.

Will keep this thread updated as progress continues.

Thanks guys. Would have been done sooner, but I had to wait for the piston, the first one they sent me was the wrong one.

Now I need to make an appointment with Lund and either drive the car out there or trailer it. I have the tune that was on the car that was used to drive it to and from the Tuner last time, just that it had the miss during a load. Going to take it out and go for a test drive and see how it feels.

Not sure I want to take the chance of a 3 hr drive, I am pretty sure it should make it, but I would rather be a little cautious.

Small update!!

The body work is coming along, a little slow, but what the hell.

Should be done in 2 weeks, then have to get it down to lund for a tune.

Here are the handles all gone.

Dukes of hazzard was a thought, but I am too old for that.

I am using my alarm with a battery backup just for the alarm. I wired it up today and like the way it is working.

I want to drive my car, still needs a real tune, not those hacks at Super street in long island. It runs and drives, but the miss while under a load is still there.

Next week is paint week. They are filming a new show at the shop. My car will be on tv just to highlight my painter/fabricator. Anyone interested in the shop should check out his site. WWW.custompaintbyvjl.com

Hopefully get a lund tune before the American muscle show.

So am I. It was in the 600+ range before it let go and still had belt slip. Now with the 8 rib it might be better.

Just hope that I can get a slot to have it tuned down at l@m or evolution by lund or kenb.
