I know an older gentleman that has an 08 gt500 with roughly 10000 miles. Nothing wrong with it. He's asking 35000 for the car. Is this a fair price?

Any mods to it?

Weren't there issues with the 2008 clutches/trannies? Recall or TSB on them?

Recall or TSB?
TSB. Depending on the symptoms, the replacements range from a clutch upgrade (to the '10-12 style), input shaft and synchro replacements, to a whole trans replacement in rare cases.

The majority of the TSB's that are done, are the clutch upgrade which includes the '10 clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, and hydro line. It's about $800 in parts if you were to pay for it yourself.

Seems a little high, I see under 5k mile GT500's on Autotrader that look pristine going for 34-35k

His is bone stock. Vapor with black stripes. Shaker 500. Very good condition. Just sits in his garage and gets driven to car shows. Just wondering if the price was decent. I have info on it btw if anyone is interested. Just pm me

Depends on what part of the country you are in. A white 08 GT500 with 13K miles went through the auction for 25k. Last month I saw two gt500's sell for under 28K. I hope this helps. Remember this was at a wholesale auction and these cars did not have a good number at the auction. It was later in the day when they crossed the block so there were not but about 15 true bidders. But paying retail 32k to 33k would be fair price.

They actually sold them for that amount? Or were they sold on a phone call?

The one I saw was in person pending inspection. The other is in arbitration cause of unknown issue. I don't remember them being on a phone call.

This should help some of you guys looking to buy a GT500, whether from a dealer or private seller. These are ACTUAL transactions from Manheim auctions throughout the country. Of course, options, modification and condition are unknown, but you can get a good idea of what they go for:
