Anybody running a set, OEM or replicas? I've really fallen in love with the design.

I found an ebay auction for an OEM set, but the auction ended suddenly with no bids.

American Muscle currently has replicas, but they just don't seem to be as nice (not to mention the budget center caps), and are certainly heavier (OEM are forged aluminum). I think it's going to be hard to find a set of OEMs in the near future.

The only real downside is 19" tires are worth more than their weight in gold and the selection is limited when compared to 18s or 20s. Apparently the GT500 'vert comes with 18s in the same style.

I was going to bid on those but ...... It was a Sean Hyland auction (lol) I e-mailed them thats how I found out . They said they were going to be listed for all seven days ...then the ass sold them to someone local !

also to let you know do not buy reps bcause there only 18x9 @ 19x9 and will not fit on cars with Brembos or big brake kits ! If you have stock gt brakes they will work , Im s.o.l. !

Yeah I emailed and found out it was Sean Hyland as well. He doesn't seem to have a good reputation but he is in Canada, and not having to cross the boarder means big savings $$$.

Not only will the replicas not fit over big brakes, they're not the same color. The gun metal color of the OEM wheels makes them attractive to me, whereas flat black is so played out.

I've got 19's on my car now, the original owner had them put on the car - I'm going to 18's or 20's in the future just because the cost savings and larger selection of tires you get for 18's and 20's is worth it. There just aren't many good tires out there in the sizes I run and they are crazy expensive.

Didn't I hear somewhere that the 'verts come with an 18in version?
Pentars are so close in design, I'd jump on those if you can't wait.

Very interested if this is true ^

Anyone else here this?

Yup, it's true. If you want to confirm, go "build" one at fordvehicles.com.
I like grabber or kona blue. :naughty1:

Just going to have to wait for people to start upgrading their wheels. To be honest, I'm not seeing too many new gt500s around. Probably all hibernating for the winter.

They're gonna be high priced for a while too I'm sure.

meh. I kinda doubt it. They are sweet lookin shoes, but they are stock. People with cars like that go for high priced wheels. Just look at all the take offs on ebay for the first gen. Then again, maybe those got swapped out so often cause they are so fugly. Jk, they aint so bad.

Yes, 18s, but unlikely many around.

I think it's best that I didn't get the 19s because of the tire issue.

If I were to get a 5 spoke design from Steeda I would get the Q1S, although the Pentars are nice too.

I haven't been able to find a single picture of these wheels on a S197 though.

Isn't that because these were originally for the sn95' or new edge, but then they made a s197 offset?

I wanna say if you look through their library of customers rides on the web site, you MAY find one. There's no organization whatsoever so you just have to keep flippin' pages.

Just a headsup, the Q1S will NOT fit over GT500 brembo's (stated on their website & print catalog)
