They both have the same long gone obsolete M122 eaton blower. (07-12)
Swap the blower with something else, like a VMP-TVS-2300 gen-2. Eats up way less hp off the crank (free hp), and runs a helluva lot cooler, pre-ic.

A local buddy traded in his 08 GT-500 vert.... on a 14 GT-500 vert. Difference was like night + day. The 07-10 GT-500's were heavy brutes. 3950 lbs for the coupe...and 4050 lbs for the vert.

Well the 08 does have a 5.4 iron block with the M122
And the 14 has an aluminium 5.8 with a factory 2.3 TVS. That would be a lot more to discuss than a blower, with that Trinity engine in there. Jmo

James, if you end up with the 07-10 Shelby, get the new MGW shifter. A friend of mine from work has a 2008 an that shifter is the tits. We also installed the larger heat exchanger and fan kit as well. He is running a smaller pulley with VMP tune. Car moves out, just needs a UCA now.

Agreed, first thing I did while doing that swap was a MGW, C&R HE and a BPS Pulley with a Lund Tund. With the rear end sporting all the BMR goodies, it does it's best to put 500+rwhp to the ground on 255's Lol
