Selling this for a close friend that I ride with, the bike is a 2011 848 Evo. Never raced, never dropped or wrecked. Original owner, 7300 miles and bone stock. Here are some pictures of it to give you a good idea of how clean it is.

Asking $10,000 obo! Feel free to post in here or PM me. The bike is definitely fun to ride!

Where does the 848 sit acceleration/power wise compared to a 1000cc Jap bike like a zx10r or a GSXR?

Its not going to be anywhere near as fast as a 1000cc bike, with that said it is NOT slow.. It is a V-Twin so it has some serious torque for its size. Put it this way, a stock 600cc jap sport bike will out run 5-600rwhp cars all day long.. a 1000cc sport bike will pull away from 7-900rwhp cars. To give you an idea.. My stock 2012 1000rr bike with a decent rider can do 0-145mph in 10.0-10.4 seconds..

I've ridden platy of Jap bikes, never a Ducati, that's why I ask. I was trying to gauge where it fell into bikes I'm more familiar with.

FWIW, a 600cc Jap bike will not out run a 500-600hp car in too many cases, that's enough power for 10's in the quarter . The 1000cc bikes hang around in the 10 second range stock for the most part. I'm looking into my next bike, hence my curiosity about the Ducati.

Yeah man, they definitely will. Not trying to start an argument or anything but I drag raced mine and street raced it when I was young and dumb.. I have completely embarrassed drag trucks/cars with 500+rwhp.

So is the 848 faster then a 600?

Heck yeah, its got a bigger motor with more hp and tq.. 140hp out of that bike.. At the crank, so like 116 or so i've seen to the wheels.. stock 600s are usually 95-105rwhp with bolt ons...

Gotcha. I always thought 600s were like 130-240ish at the motor. I never rode a 600 (super sport that is, I've ridden more pedestrian 600s like the FZ6R), I was one of those idiots who went right to 1000s.

130-140ish I mean

Oh, definitely not. Your lucky to see 116rwhp out of a full bolt on + race gas combo for a 600cc bike..A sport touring bike like the fz6r is 2000% different from a 600cc sport bike. I've ridden one and its crazy how slow and different they feel. My first bike I learned on was a 2008 Yamaha R1 with full exhaust, race filter and pcV. Its fine if you use your brain and respect it lol. I loved it but knew at my age i'd get killed or arrested starting out on a 1000cc.. So i bought my 600, modded it, beat up on 750s and 1000s all day from 0-125mph due to my setup and them not being able to keep the front down.. Really learned how to ride and then bought myself a brand new 2012 1000rr.

I really miss my 09 ZX10r. I got hit by a car on it, talk about a life changer. GLWS bro, I'm gonna keep my eye on this thread and see how it goes.

If you ever get back on two wheels, check out the 2011+ zx10r.. It's ugly but with an ecu flash n slip on with race filter it's extremely fast..
