I definitely want to do this. I just have to decide if I want to leather wheel or the alcantara boss wheel. Tousley has them for $231. I think I would rather have the boss but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra.

Mine is supposed to be here tomorrow, but the extra harnesses to make my volume controls work won't be here till next week. I may try to do a write-up on installing the wheel and making all of the buttons work

I bought one of these from somebody who got them off Ebay like you guys.

I'm trying to decide what to do. Maybe try to find a cheap head unit to link up the controls to. I like the Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD but don't really want to fork over the $400.

I am using the Avic D3....they can be expensive, but if you search ebay enough especially in the early morning hours you can find one pretty cheap. Got mine for $200

You have to buy the PAC-SWI for the Avic, and two harnesses (WPT-440) from Ford. You will have a purple wire in your steering wheel that you wire to any pin on one WPT440 and plug it in the clock spring....then you have a white wire coming from the PAC-SWI that you plug into the same pin on the other WPT440 that goes in the left side of the clock spring. Then you ground the green wire in the steering wheel. And then just program the PAC and you are good to go

has anyone gotten this wheel to work with the factory shaker 500? i have the cruise control and working and its great. i even have the 2 harness, im just not sure what i need to do to get the stereo to work with it.. i know it needs to be hooked up to the #17 and 18 wires in the stereo harness, but what wires from the buttons in the wheel need to be connected?

Probably still the purple wire from the wheel and the white wire from the PAC

Edit: you don't have a PAC with the factory stereo nevermind

FYI, Roush overstock just put up more of these on Ebay. They had 10 available this morning when I bought mine, they are down to 5. Just a heads up.
