Well I ran today and need some advise. 2011 a6 gt: 4.10's, offroad xpipe, Jlt cold air, and boss intake. The tires are 275/60/15.
My 60 ft 1.87
1/8 mile 7.84@91
Kinda think my tire is to tall. The first to second seemed laggy but that might be the tune. I think i should be faster but dont know. Any ideas?

FWIW, I ran mine today with the Boss intake. The DA was 1500' better than last week and overall I ran the same with higher mph but I was spinning on my 1st to 2nd shift which hurt et's. My 1/8 miles times were 7.50s at 93~94 mph both weeks (11.70s in the 1/4 @117~119).

Personally I think the Boss intake is hurting the car. I am putting in a Circle D 3600 converter this week.

What tune do you have Tony?

I run a BBR email tune. My best 60' last week with the stock intake in 1500' da air was 1.74.

This week my best was 1.80 in Neg DA air, but then I was spinning on the 1to 2 shift. Even with that the mph up top dont show enough of a gain to say the intake helps my combo.

3200 I think. I was reading your about raising the shift points. Seems Like a good idea to try.

Here's my personal best (a lighter weight guy went 12.050)

utf-8BSU1BRzAzMzAuanBn.jpg

This is with a tune and drag radials only in -350ish DA.

My drag radials are 295/50/16 MT ET Street II.

27.7" tall and a circumference of 87".

My 1-2 is shifting around 6700 and the 2-3 is around 7200. I'd like the 1-2 7200 or so, there is a huge gap between First and Second gears, 4.17 and 2.34.

275/60/15 MickeyTs are 28" and 87". Very close.

For what it's worth man, mine ran a 8.0 @ 86 stone stock with 6 year old dry rotted drag radials. I could have run a 7.8 with my current radials. You have good mph, but that 60ft just isn't good.

It's just not possible to launch the car any harder with the stock torque converter.

I foot brake it to 1800-1900 and that's as high as you can go before the tires break loose.

Flashing it from idle is no better.

You M6 guys and your fancy "Rev it to 6000 launches"...

Not really worried about the time because it's shifting into 3rd right before the 1/8 mile, so I know it's losing some time there. That's why I was asking about the tire. My 1/8 is identical to george's buy I've got more mods?

Have your tuner bump it to 7400 or 7500.

When I put the Boss on mine, I'm going to try 7500.
