I was really hoping to have this much more completed before I shared, but I think the worst thing that can happen is that I vanish without a trace taking all of this information with me.

The following documents have been compiled by scouring the internet, as well as a significant amount of personal testing. I have personally pulled the modules one at a time, sniffed the canbus while changing various settings, basically attempting to break the car and see how and where the errors were thrown.

At one point, I had an instrument cluster, smart junction box, fcim, fdim, hvac module, body control module, and pcm all wired up on my desk in my bedroom, simulating a car.

I would love to have any and all contributions that the community is willing to share and I will credit you in the documents.

2013/2014 HS CanBus Database

2013/2014 MS CanBus Database
Fully Decompiled
- AutoLock/AutoLamp Command
- AutoLock/AutoLamp Response
- Metric/Imperial Cluster Signal
- HVAC External Temperature Display
- HVAC Status
- Head Unit HVAC Buttons
- VIN / Tire Rev Per Mile / Rev Limiter Setting
- TPMS Values
- Interior Illumination Dimming
- Door Status
- Ambient Light Color Command
- Ambient Light Color Response
Partially Decompiled

- Turn Signals
- Lock Command

Thanks,
Steve

Slowly going back and cleaning up some of the formatting to make it easier to read. I am starting with the MS Can and will add the information here as I clean it up. I will also update the original post to contain the things that have been fully or partially decompiled.

Steve,

Alas, I am electrically and electronically challenged so I am not a likely contributor to your knowledge base of CanBus modules but I sincerely thank you and the others in the community for spending personal time and brain power building up the documents for us to use. You guys are doing some pretty cool work! Thank you very much. :beerchug2:

Hi Chris. I appreciate your kind words. This is fundamentally how all of those aftermarket headunits work.

There is a surprise end result I'm collaborating with someone on for this. Eventually, once enough has been decompiled, we will share. Until then I figured I would share this for anyone who wants to use it as well in their endeavors.
