searched 2013 vs 2014 6r80 with no results,

are there any major differences, i dont think so but i want to be sure as im looking into a used '13 gt auto. i read somewhere about the converters maybe being different? cant remember when they changed the autos. maybe it was '11-'12 model 6r80s were a little different

disreguard ----i found what i was looking for in another thread, seems that 13/14 have the select shift addition, otherwise '11-'14 6r80s are all the same.

That would be correct. Sometime in 2014 Ford supposedly used a different converter but Circle D would have more information on that.

'11-'12 have a better torque converter. There is a thread on this here somewhere about why the '13-'14 cars do not 60' as good. Different part numbers, and if I recall the '11-'12 part was like twice the price.

I would have to dispute this. I put a converter from a 12 in my 13. It 60's just fine, I assure you. :D
