Long hood? Check. Short deck? Check. Two door? Check. V8? Check. Rear wheel drive? Check. Seems to meet the criteria.

Almost some corvette styling in the front with the mustang hips. Looks different but not to sure what to think. I will hold my opinion till it comes out in

But leaning on the like.... But I will still keep mine no matter what they do

I agree WAY to Aston-Jag for my liking...it also looks like an Audi in some ways. I will not be getting one if they do the Euro sport look because then it wont be loud, in your face, aerodynamic like a brick mustang any more. In my opinion if they want to appeal to the Euro sport crowd make an even more sporty version of the taurus.

Can we all please try to post this all in one thread.

I hate walking into another thread with a similar title to another thread with the same content.

In question to if it is mustang-enough to fit the criteria ---->

If it is made by Ford, has a mustang emblem, and is called a Mustang... It is infact a Mustang.

That said people keep saying the renderings are not "true American", or some shit, designs. Someone please define what makes a design "true American".

For myself once Ford created the S197 platform it will be very hard for me to go back to a smaller, more aero dynamic Mustang.

I will wait till I see one and drive before making a decision. Ford has been building great vehicles, I am sure this car will be very nice. If its a great road car and not so much on the muscle 1/4 mile stuff (which I'm a huge fan of). I guess I will buy one as a DD and put a blower and cage on my 11 and go faster.

IMO, the Astin Martin and the Jaguar are among the sexiest reasonably priced sports cars on the road. If Ford wants to use that styling in the design of the new Mustang, I am absolutely for it. If the new Mustang is anything like some of the renderings, it might just be my first new car purchase ever.

I can't wait to get rid of these 17' long rounded rectangles. Bring on whatever's next in a rounded sn95 sized coyote powered fun machine. Bring the IRS and flared fenders to boot. If they'll ever do a targa ill have to sell everything ;)

Why is there a new thread everyday with some new concept art or some shit of what a 201x Mustang is going to look like.

Nobody gives a shit. Its not going to look anything like any damn drawing or concept car. Its always like that. We only need ONE thread to discuss how stupid it is, not 100.

IRS is coming.... like it or not. So is a non-retro redesign.

Yea, way to go Ford:dunce:, they better watch out, they just got the Mustang right as it is, they better be careful with all the competition these days!

People who bitch about IRS generally have never owned a rwd car with IRS...

NOT Ford's typical bandaid system of shit suspension in a shit chassis.

IRS can plant JUST fine in a straight line and the car is much more fluid to drive

This reminds me of this:

So not being an rx8 fan, I don't care for it.

The youth market is where the money is. There is massive competition in this area. The Mustang is not seen the same by youth as it is by 35+ year olds. If you don't get young buyers invested into your brand, they buy another brand.

Agreed. Some of the fastest race cars use IRS. (brings to mind Formula one)

First, referring to the first concept redering, it looks like a 2 door Taurus.
Secondly, the 2nd redering looks sexy, like a aston, me likely mucho.

However, I did notice how different and together the rear end was in the mustang when I first got it, compared to the 350z I had. By together I mean by both sides move when a bump is felt. With the Z it was just that wheel.

As long as they improve in every aspect. Meaning appearance, drivetrain and suspension. Then I'm sold.

lets all hope for a 1.00g slalom putting down 450hp mustang ;) with 30mpg hwy lol
