If this is what it looks like when they release it, I will buy one. I like my 08 and I will have it for a long time. Mostly because knowbody would want it.

For me, the retro thing has run it's course and I welcome a modern version.

I'm going to feel bad about modding one of these the day I get it home. Not bad enough to stop me though.:thumb2:

I saw a new fusion at the dealership that had a Similar grill on it..... If food follows suit thy have in the past, their other models will look something like it. Not to far of a stretch for what I have seen.

Change s good and hard to accepts by many. But I for one kinda like it but my favorite will always be my s197. Hands down. :)

But before I make a complete decision, I want to see the interior. They can kill it or knock it out of the park for me there. It is like the Camaro. The outside looks good but the inside looks cheap and like a dodge neon threw up on the dash. I do not like the car for that. My wife s pissed because she wants one bad due to the looks and lack of performance I will never buy her one. I like my fords too!!! That is the other reason. Hahahaa

I really can't wait too see it on the street. At that point I will make my final decision....

Looks like a Taurus/GTO mix with tail lights that kinda resemble a Mustang's.

Had hopes for the original concept after looking at it for a while.
Figured they might sell some in markets other than North America.
But the latest rendering is stoopid?
Ugliest front end, so dissapointing.

Not feeling this at all. But I said that when they changed body styles recently. I hope they make some major changes to the front end.

I really hope Ford doesn't use that stupid ass "Kinetic" design model that the Camaro uses to get a stupid high shoulders and stupid low roof resulting in pillbox style outward visibility. The "high shoulders" of the model in the Carscoop Blog makes the car look fat, heavy, and like an absolute turd. I'd rather endure 20 more years of the current body style than that pile of shit.

I hope it's smaller, lighter and modern looking. Keep the drive trains as they are in a smaller, lighter car with a tough IRS and it will be a real performer.

Consider this....

The base 2015 Mustang will have an EcoBoost 2.0 making about 250 hp. It will get excellent fuel economy and, since the car will be smaller/lighter, have good performance. The "entry level" GT will get an EcoBoost V6. It will deliver about the same power and performance while delivering better fuel economy. The GT premium will retain the 5.0 with direct injection.

Why do I dare think and speak such heresy? Because...

1.) Ford's most recent launches have all moved toward smaller engines with EcoBoost.
2.) Ford has stated that EcoBoost will be across all platforms.
3.) Fuel economy is the super hot button issue in the automotive world right now.
4.) Ford has, in the past, done what was not popular at the time because they felt it was the correct thing to do business wise.
5.) Leveraging the 5.0 as a premium model power plant will make them more money.
6.) CAFE, CAFE, CAFE. Gov't mandated Corporate Average Fuel Economy

I don't think they will go backwards in HP with the base model.

Do you remember the last time CAFE was shoved down our throats? If they can make the car lighter, run less hp and get equal or near equal performance with better CAFE fuel economy they will.

I still have yet to see anything that really entices me about the new mustang.

is it technically better? yes, I am sure it will be.

but the styling is just not what I am looking for, and for the price, I think I'll just sit here with my S197.

I like this a lot. Looks smaller sportier and modern. Doesn't have those generic headlights that are so common as to be old fashion already. I doubt the tail will look like that to old fashion looking look like real backwards step from the 2013.
