The GT350 in 2nd place now had pitted, and within 2 laps passed about 4-5 cars back up to 2nd. The one that is in the lead now was leaving all of the other cars behind, even the ones with fresher tires.

Yep, the 16 year old won the race. Camaro's were 7+ seconds behind. That Boss 302 should have let off though just a bit though. Less than a fender inside of the GT350R is no reason to keep it in there, especially against he same manufacturer.

Is that what happened to Scott in the 15, tangled with an S197? I didn't see the 1st half of the race.

Yep, turn 4, apparently tire to tire contact because the left rear of the #15 came off the ground. The #15 had a clear pass by the #78 coming off of 3, but the #78 still a fender on the inside. From the #15's onboard, it looked like there was still a car length worth to the inside, but the #78 clipped him. The only other view the video stream had was after the contact was already made.

They said the only other possible video feed would be the onboard of the #78 or the Stevenson Camaro that was behind it all, but the series doesn't see those videos until after the race, if available.

Joining the likes of Koenigsegg in the offering, Ford has teamed with Australian outfit Carbon Revolution to produce the CF rollers en masse for the first time. Destined for the hubs of the new Shelby GT350R, the new hoops weigh just 18 pounds each, versus the 33-lbs weight of a similar aluminum wheel. On top of slashing up to 60 pounds in unsprung weight, there's such a reduction in rotational inertia – 40 percent, versus aluminum wheels – that Ford actually has to recalibrate the magnetic ride control system and springs.

Thanks to, we're guessing, scenes of crashed Formula One cars disintegrating and spewing shards of carbon fiber all over the track, Ford seems quite keen to do away with the idea that CF is strong, but brittle. The company conducted extensive shock testing, ramming a wheel into a curb at speed. According to the Blue Oval, the lightweight wheel allowed the suspension to respond so quickly that the impact was "greatly diminished," causing the tester to run the experiment again, thinking there'd been a mistake.

I wonder if those CF wheels would fit the S-197 Mustangs ???

Doing some digging, I found this:

5J, would mean 5 inches wide, but I believe they are supposed to be 11 and 11.5 from the factory.

Taking the "MMLV Carbon Fiber," and doing a search brings up some links that Ford is also testing for Carbon Fiber engine parts for a 5 passenger vehicle (The MMLV Fusion):
