ken3030, you have list of what your motor consists of? I'm curious as to what all you did to it, and what headers?

just wondering, from what i have saw and tested on the very first 3.4 whipples for the 4V motors, that it was useless to run less then 26# of boost because the 3.4 took so much power to turn it so we went to 32# which was basically max rpm for the blower which the car made 798hp through a c4 with a 4000 stall and the car went 9.68 (6.0 in the eight) and our kb combo went 9.52 at 22# at only 623 have you cranked up the boost that high yet? im just trying to see witch blower to go with when i get s197 here in a few months.

Interesting. I'm curious to see this as well. We all know dyno HP and track times are usually 2 different things. I also am curious if sometimes bigger may not be better. What I mean specifically is I'm very curious to see if the 3V is just not enough displacement to really take advantage of a 3.4+ blower. I'm looking at building up a 370ci motor right now and considering what FI I want to go with as well.

Good to see things are going well with the project, I hope the stock rear end can hold up to all that power. When you get a chance Adam could you return one of my many voice/pm/e-mail messages from the past week?

Thanks!

At low boost a 2.4 KB is better than a 2.6H, but at high boost? I can't wait to see the day a 5.2 blower go on a 4.6 modular. It could happen.

This is the most exciting thread I've read in a long time. Everybody is on the edge of their seats waiting for the timeslips...

Thats my next project...NOT KIDDING

If you could make 20psi boost with the 3.4 with a 3.375 pulley---why would you want to go with a 5.2? Could you just imagine (assuming the motor would stay together) the kind of boost and horsepower that would make? Low 8-second twin screw?

you guys are nuts. :thud:
